Anyone else that is having probs TTC have wi fi in their home?

My DH has always dismissed it being problematic, however I keep thinking there seems to be more and more people wil fertility problems that are the same sort of age and this is a common environmental change.

I have googled it and it does come up with most recent research from Argentina showing that motility and the cells were adversely affected by wi fi.... Time to switch it off?

well, my DH keeps his mobile in is pocket ALL the time... he seems to NEED it there and i reckon its the cause of his low morph because he does not drink or smoke and is perfectly healthy so what else could it be? so yeah maybe WIFI waves are similar to mobile phone waves which i reckon are bd, have you seen the video on you tuber where they crack an egg with mobile phones?

Hiya,

No not seen the video, I'll have a look. Of course mobiles often connect to wi fi automatically - interestingly research has been done on mobiles as well and it shows that it isn't good either.

DH says he can't go anywhere without there being wi fi but I think having it in your house can't be a good thing.

Sophe what about soy? It causes infertility in male rats and Caucasian men have not evolved to eat it, only Orientals have. It's like lactose intolerance being a problem with Oriental men, soybean products have negative effects on sperm. I don't understant why the products don't have health warnings on them. It even affects male foetuses if the mother eats a lot of soy. If he does eat any, e.g. tofu, soybean nuts, vegetarian soy-based meat substitutes, e.g. soy sausages, burgers he could try cutting it all out and see what effect it has. It won't do any harm anyway, but allow at least 3-4 months to see the difference because it takes 3 months to produce new sperm.

interseting, i will have to google that, we have WIFI in our house and his mobile connects to it, which is in his pocket, and as I said he isn't a drinker or smoker.... mmmm .. i can see disconnection from wifi coming on soon... hehe

We broke up. But my ex right he is internet crazy, he has had Wifi since it existed wherever he lived and with me. He carries his mobile in his back pocket. His sperm count and morphology were perfect despite being quite a heavy drinker, but he didn't smoke. I think it's something else, not the Wifi. Soy or stress? Also my sister's husband had an extremely low sperm count, they had to have IVF. Then later on out of the blue they conceived completely naturally. They had been told it was impossible. Sperm counts must go up and down a lot. You hear this story over and over. It's not a fixed thing. My brother-in-law is convinced it was stress in his case. It's essential he takes the recommended vitamins plus additional zinc picolinate (Solgar do it). And does he do regular exercise? Sitting is the worst thing, e.g. jobs that involve a lot of driving like sales people/lorry drivers have lower sperm counts. Because the temperature is too high in the testicles.

We do for sure have wifi but I think the biggest problem with wifi and fertility at my house is all the :holly::flasher: on the internet that he forgets he's supposed to be :serenade: and :sex: with the wife who's  in the next room.:dohh:

Soy is very bad for men, and not great for women either. It can impact hormone levels.

Lots of things can impact sperm, if a man has a low count things like soy / wifi and other factors which have not been researched properly such as some of the chemicals used to wash our foods. Things which are banned in the U
S but not here.

I was not meaning to say that wifi is the cause of someone's problem, but my thread was to ask if anyone else knew much about this.

I completely agree with fisher, who knew wi-fi could cause problems? But then again thanks to wi-fi I'm connected to all of you lovely ladies and this great website :)
