So for the past week I have been feeling awful. Nauseous, headache, SO tired, my vision in my left eye is off. I have been treated for a sinus infection, but its not helping. I had my weekly visit with my OB this morning, I am only 50 % effaced and not dialited at all. Baby is engaged and low however. My blood pressure was pretty night 145/95 so my Dr decided to give me blood work. I have to go back to the Dr on friday. I was told Im being monitored for preclampsia. My question is, if my blood work comes back positive, will they induce me since im full term or will they just monitor my BP will meds?

THANKS

Usually, once you're full term, they'll take a look at the baby and make sure the longs look good and then go ahead and induce. That's how it works where I'm from, anyway. Good luck with everything!!

Ok thanks. I hope I dont have it, but id rather be induced and get her out if I do.

I know my specialist will keep baby in as long as possible if safe to do so. We spoke about induction between 37-38 weeks and he strongly advised against it because of an increased risk of neurological damage. He said even though baby may be considered term, if that's not when they were ready to come, it can cause life long issues. Obviously the risks of pre e can outweigh them, so I imagine they'll weigh up all the different risks and make the safest decision.

I was induced at 36+5 and 36+6 with DD1 due to severe pre-e. They kept me in for a few days and tried to get my BP down and kept monitoring my protein levels and doing blood tests. In the end they decided the risk to me and baby by staying pregnant was more than delivering at 37 weeks. My DD1 was born at exactly 37 weeks. She was very sleepy and not interested in feeding and I was very ill after, but my BP etc got back under control and I was let home three days later and monitored daily at home.

If your levels are a real concern they may induce you now. If they are managable they may just try and control them with meds for now.

Good luck :flower:
