Will this improve when milk comes in?

My lb is 2 days old and seems to fart an awful lot. It wakes him and I'm struggling to get him settled in the cot.

I wondered if it is because colostrum is so low volume, or because he is a newborn and his system is full of wind or is he just a windy baby?

My son was gassy like that...but his lasted unil he was over a year. I tried cutting things from my diet which helped a bit. Cutting things like milk, chocolate, caffeine help with those things. Since he's only 2 days old and your milk isn't in yet I'd wait a bit and just see what happens before trying to cut all that. Babies are gassy especially the first few months. Also I don't think my son was that young but I did give him gripe water quite a bit the first while...it was a life saver.
