Windy 8 day old-he can't sleep

8 day old, can't sleep due to excess wind trapped low down feels/sounds like.

MW said infacol 3 days to work, nxt size up teat for more flow, and sounds like colic. But he's not screaming, he's just not able to sleep, so he's tired then not feeding enough, 20mins for 1/2-1 oz, then falling asleep for 5 mins, winding him, 1/2 hr fussing then start again!

Any advice/tips gratefully received

It's sort of a process of elimination to find out what's causing the excess gas - could be as simple as not getting all the burps up and then the gas bubbles will travel to the intestines, bottles like Dr. Brown's or another "anti- colic" bottle works miracles for a lot of babies, gripe water is an easy thing to try since it's all natural and easy to get, and then a last resort if none of those things help is changing the formula to an easier to digest one.

Thank you infacol seems to have worked a treat, and going up to stage 2 teats as well, not sucking as hard now x
