Hi Ladies, I have recently been offered a job after graduating, its £21,750 pa. I called hmrc and they said I would get £148. per week in working tax credits and ctc.
She based it off my last years earnings where I did not earn alot given I was a full time student. The credits seems abit on the high side  although I'm not complaining, was just checking this was about right? :winkwink:

forgot to add i have 1 ds.

you may want to give them this years estimated earnings as if you earn alot more than previous year when you do review you may end up owing them money!

As soon as you get the award letter call them and tell them this years so its adjusted and you won't get a nasty suprise when you renew!

Both of these^^

If you don't tell them your expected income for this year, you will end up owing back loads of money xx

Thank you ladies, I will do. I thought it was really strange when the adviser stated the amount I would be entitled too would not be dependent of my salary.
