worried baby is eating too much

Hi ladies my ds is 8 weeks today and is now on 7oz every 3-4 hours with at least 2 of his feeds ending up being 8oz because he screams for that extra ounce. Ive been concerned about this so took him to the health visitor today and she said to give him 8oz if he can tolerate it and not to give him hungry baby in case he gets constipated.

His weight has gone from 10lb 6 two weeks ago to 12lb 7 today, going from 50th to 75th centile.

8oz seems like way too much for an 8 week old im worried hes gonna end up huge or im gonna hurt his belly or something.

anyone elses babies eating this much?

He would throw up if it was too much milk, he's just a big hungry healthy boy! Keep up the good work I'd say

My son was the same, and still is a very hungry baby. I ummed and ahhed over hungry baby milk for a while but am just giving him more of the first stage milk - he's 5 months old and on the 98th centile. Your son will soon let you know if he's had enough - he would be sick everywhere.

My hv said if my baby wants more give it him
