I have been nursing a cut on my nipple for about 2 weeks now and it hasn't been healing. It's still open and now I just noticed that around parts of the open wound, it looks white. Also the blister next to it looks a bit yellowish on the side. I am soo worried now that I have hurt baby feeding him with this breast. Anyone ever experience this. I am so worried :nope:

I would give your doctor a call. I don't know much about the possible infections you could have but I googled mastitis last night cause my nipple itches everytime I feed and I'm a hypochondriac but the symptoms sound similar to yours except you didn't mention yourself having a fever or any symptoms of feeling sick and the site said to see your gp if it doesn't get better on its own through nursing. I didn't read anything about it being harmful to baby and it did say its best to continue nursing on it to help it heal..so it must not be harmful. Your doctor can probably give you some kind of antibiotics or ointment for it if you do have an infection.

Thank you for responding optimistic! I actually went to urgent care the next day and was told I had mastitis and was put on antibiotics. I just hope it doesn't effect my milk supply. I will ask my Dr. On Monday for my follow up.

Oh I'm late lol good you went and got some medicine for it! Hope it doesn't affect your supply!
