I am 20 weeks along and have had subchrionic hematoma since the 7th week. I have bled on and off, but haven't had any bleeding or cramping for a month now. Yesterday DH and I had sex, I orgasmed, and since then I haven't felt the baby move. I'm petrified. I feel her move a couple of times a day (since week 18).
Should I call my doctor? Could the orgasm have caused more placenta detachment? I haven't bled or cramped. Just don't feel the baby move anymore. I'm kicking myself for having sex. Stupid, irresponsible me.

If its abnormal to not feel movement then it's always worth getting checked out. 20 weeks is still early and baby is still small so chances are baby's just tucked away hiding somewhere xxx

I'd say if it's unusual, then go get it checked. I felt movements early on and my midwife advised me on my 25 week appt that if his movements stop then she'd rather me go get it checked than to not bother.

Everyone's different with the dates they start feeling baby move and how often, so if you're worried, get it checked :)

I had a SCH too - given 4 weeks since any bleeding I honestly don't think sex would have harmed your baby. You're still early for regular movements. I'd have a glass of cold water, piece of chocolate and lie down quietly for 30 mins - I'm sure you'll feel baby xx

I don't know if this helps but when I orgasm my uterus pulls together and gos hard as a rock, sometimes staying like that for hours and I can't feel a thing. If your anything like me it's possible that they were kicking, but you weren't able to feel it? Good luck Hun

If it's any reassurance my little one has quiet days where I barely feel her or don't. They sleep a ton in there. Maybe baby was more active when you were sleeping.

No experience, but have a hard time seeing how sex/orgasm would harm anything, and if it could I'm sure the dr would have been very clear with you about that. Definitely get it checked for your piece of mind. I think I have been feeling minor pokes for the last week (not sure as it's early) but didn't feel anything for a few days, however I used my doppler yesterday and heard the heart beat and baby was swimming around as it kept moving. Maybe the movement comes and goes in the beginning? Check with your dr just to be safe :hugs:

You probably just rocked her to sleep in an odd spot that you can feel her. Any news for today?

I would say give them a call just to reassure yourself, but your baby is probably just facing your back or something to where you can't feel anything, or she/he is awake when you are asleep. I stopped feeling movements for about three days around week 19, and when I went to go get an ultrasound, it turned out she was facing my back the whole time, and that is why I didn't feel much.

Thanks everyone. She was back in action this morning so I didn't call my doctor. She sure scared the bejeezus out of me for 2 days. I'm going to refrain from intercourse till my third trimester though coz the mental stress just isn't worth it.

I had a SCH but just recently found out it has gone away at my 19 week appointment.

Honestly, I'm 20 weeks pregnant too and find LO moves on and off. Some days he's really active and other's not so much. They're still small right now, and get tucked away where we can't feel them. MY OB said it's early still and not to worry when this happens. So I don't worry. But that's me. If you want you can always get checked out. But honestly, I wouldn't worry too much :)
