Sounds good to me too. Pussy bow blouse will draw attention to the "thinner" top half and the dark bottom will elongagte and disguise the "chunkier" bottom half! Good luck and have fun :flower: x

It would look lovely....... is your blouse long enough to cover your bum? If not, i'd suggest getting a black mini skirt to put on over your leggings :)

Sounds good to me too, have a great time xx

Yes but i dont think leggings are very flattering on very many people let alone someone who finds their thighs and bum a problem area. Primark do really flattering straight fit black jeans that are really stretchy so fit like a glove. Theyre only £10 and would look fab with a blouse and shoe boots x

I agree, I got a gorgeous blouse from Primark with black jeans, I'm the same size as you and it really is flattering, everyone complemented me on it so go for it.

I agree with blah I'd wear jeans unless your a tiny size 6 leggings with out a dress over are not flattering and often are see through jeans will look lovely with wedges.

thanks girls,i live in leggings  always with a long vest top,i think jeans would make me look even fatter!?

I'm like you Lydia, when I was a size 14 I felt like jeans made me look fatter, particularly because i'm only 5"1 so i'd vote for leggings too personally. I don't see an issue with leggings on anyone so long as their bums are covered - with a top or skirt.

Personally I felt more confident in leggings because I knew I wouldn't get a muffin top :)

You'll look lovely regardless.

Those blouses are really flattering for most shapes.

I think jeans may look better with a shorter top and that is regardless of anyones size :) x

i know what you mean! the bum thing in leggings is awful i always wear a long top underneath but i dont want to look like mutton! i always here people saying fat girls shouldnt wear leggings and it makes me soo self concious, but i just feel so comfy in them.

maybe im in denial and want to keep dressing how i did as a size 6/8 :(

People saying 'fat people' shouldn't wear leggings is ridiculous. I'm more offended by women showing their arse and underwear in leggings, size 6 or 16 than what I would be to a larger lady wearing them (which i'm not).

Wear what you're comfortable in :) I love leggings because they're so easy to get to fit. I have a nightmare getting jeans because they never fit both my tummy and my legs (and my body shape isn't even disproportionate), leggings are an easy and comfy option

I don't think anyone is saying fat people shouldn't wear leggings what people are saying is no one looks nice in leggings with short tops on or tops that ride up if you've got a long blouse or those tops that have the long hem at the back down to your knees or dress over the top it looks nice but anyone even the slimmest size 6 would struggle to pull leggings and a short blouse off. You didn't say weather you blouse was a long one or not so we was jut giving you advice based on the details you wrote.

Leggings look fine aslong as bum is covered - regardless of size & shape!
Wear what you feel confident and happy in, you'll look lovely x

How long is the blouse?

I think it is all about being long enough to cover your bum, and that is regardless of a sie 6 or a 26 :)

Can I just say that I wasn't talking about anyone here, just general attitudes that sometimes crop up in society as Lydia mentioned :)
