Well i finaly made the switch from Sma gold to cow and gate comfort on tuesday .I have to say i have noticed a difference already.she has less pain in the evenings it seems although she is still crying at night but the crying is not a scream in pain kinda cry iukwim.but she had 2 dirty nappies last night one after the other where as usualy she doesnt pass a bowl movement more than twice a week. Her poop was yellow and runny and stank to high heaven where as her stools on the sma were green and hardish(thick). Is this a good sign it is suiting her? im kinda happy the poo has turned yellow and is no longer green but a lill concerned about its looseness.
thanx in advance
xx

I think it's normal. When we changed formula frm NAN gold to Aptamil AR at 6 wks Omar's poo changed frm green hard to yellow runnier. All Gold formulas have probiotics I guess which harden poos & makes it green. xx

harrison is on cow and gate comfort and his poo was green and runny! But now hes on infant gaviscon its green and hardish - most of the time, we get the odd explosion! Xxx

lol!(explosion).Isnt it strange how our babies differ in stools. We had another poop last night which was still yellow and less runny but my gosh the smell is shocking for a tiny baby lol!
i have to say we have had a happier baby since the swap,we still get the crying at night times or early evenings but im putting some amount of crying down to normal, but it isnt the screaming fits which we had before..
xx

I had an absoloute nightmare with my little man he used to cry all the time and his milk never suited him by the time he was 7 weeks he had been on 3 different milks and the health visitor said try him on green sma which was lactose intolerant , none of it ever worked until we went onto SMA which was brill for us all babes are different i suppose just like us. Fins poo was really bad the same as what you are describing i spoke to my aunt who is a health visitor and she said you really need to give it a week for a milk change her poo will get alot better in the next few weeks dont worry.

Your piccy is beautiful :) x
