Just had first scan + internal/transvaginal as dr was concerned of high risk ectopic, couldn't see anything from scan on tummy but saw a sac on transv scan. Too early to tell she was unimpressed at dr for referring me so early, as she can't tell wether it's in or out of womb etc.

Letter I have says: gestational sac - 4mm x 5mm x 3mm,

Right ovary 22mm x 23mm x 22ml vol 5.8ml
Left ovary 33mm x 39mm x 21mm vol 14.2ml.. Said it could be where I ovulated from or could be ectopic?

Uterus 12mm thick

Thick walled fluid area seen adjacent to "ovarian stroma corpus luteum ???? Makes no sense to me, anyone???

Gotta go Back in 2 weeks for another scan, they tool blood pressure and bloods & gotta go back on Wednesday for more to check levels.

Will I find out on Wednesday levels or do they just message my doctor?

I don't know what all that means apart from my womb lining is thick and there's a small sac somewhere in that region?!

So worried :0(

hi Hunny, wow it seems you receive dinfo overload today with no explanation!

ovarian stroma corpus luteum - I think this is a cyst on your ovary remaining from when you ovulated. the ovary that releases the egg that gets fertilised releases hormones for the first few weeks of pregnancy to support the pregnancy. I think this is claled a corpus luteum. So that's nothing to worry about

What is your lmp date?

Its a shame she couldnt see a pregnancy sac in the womb. I hd a scan at 5+1 and all she could see was a dark patch in my womb, and she confirmed it wasnt ectopic form that. Could you see anything like that?

as for bloods, at my place, the results normally go back to your gp. Did you not ask how to get your results ?! Silly billy ;)

I have to go back after 48 hours for another test to see difference in levels.

Cyst?! Isn't that a bad thing :( sorry I think I'm
Overreacting but I'm so lost! Xx

No hun the corpus lutuem cyst needs to be there to mantain the hormones for early pregnancy until the placenta kicks in later on!

Im sorry ur going thru this, i went thru the same thing for over 3 weeks only found out last week that all was ok! If the have seen a sac in ur womb hun it may be in the right place its just too early to see anything else! I know wat a scary time it is from 1st hand experience, just make sure u take good care of ur self xx :hugs:
