12 week scan in uk..

sorry to post in here but i know you most probably all had this scan so thought you could help
I was wondering how you go about getting your 12 week scan?
can you just ring the hospital and ask them to book you in or?
i do come from london but never been pregnant over there so dont fully understand how it would work as im in cyprus at the min and they do everything completly different here x

For an NHS scan your Midwife refers you when you see her for your booking in appointment (usually between 8 and 10 weeks roughly). Other than that you can book a private scan for around £100 (there are lots of private places throughout the country).

my midwife booked the scan for me at my booking in appt at 8 weeks and gave me the time there and then xx
