Ahhhh, okay. I'm 11 days late. AF has been super regular/on time the last 3-5 months. I tested last Monday and it was negative. I'm trying to wait it out another 3-4 days until I am 2 weeks late but I am just so impatient.
I have no signs or symptoms of either AF or a pregnancy. And I have previously had irregular periods. Up to 6 months without one before. Should I wait it out a bit longer or put myself out of my misery and grab a test?!

Sounds like you probably have PCOS. If you get a negative this cycle, you may just want to check in with your OB/Gyn. If you do have PCOS, there are meds you can take to help you get more regular- and that makes TTC so much easier. <3

The one and only time i didn't have a period was for 6 months. It was two+ years ago and I was right in the middle of wedding planning. I attributed it to excess stress. Right after the wedding it came back. We have only been casually trying since January but I am paranoid I have fertility issues.
What is PCOS?

It's a condition that causes irregular periods. About 1 in 10 women (maybe as many as 1 in 8) have it. It's the main cause for having irregular cycles. Even wedding stress shouldn't be enough to cause your period to stay gone more than one cycle. 6 months is definitely a cause for concern and is indicative of a hormone imbalance. If you have irregular cycles, it's a good idea to just check in with your OB/Gyn. If it is PCOS causing the cycle issues, there are ways to make things work better. And it's better to check in early. If there is something going on, take care if it at the beginning of TTC so you can be pregnant sooner!

Honestly, if you have a feeling you have fertility issues, you should just go talk to your gyno. A lot of OB/Gyns do a "pre-TTC" appt where you go in and talk about your cycles and get the basic pre-TTC tests done. Plus, if everything turns out totally fine, you get to stop worrying! And if there is an issue, you can work to resolve it now instead of waiting until it's ruined TTC for you. Just make sure you bring in a list of when all your periods have been the last couple years and notes about anything that has you worried.
