Thank-you esp glad you are well! Exciting to find out the gender soon

Congratulations star! Hoping this is your take home baby! Esperanza so exciting you will find out the gender soon!

Hi ladies,
Quick update… didnt find out the gender cause I didnt get a scan ( it was not scheduled and apparently you have to book a separate gender scan if you want to find out before 20 weeks). So Im counting down the days to May 25th when i get my 20 weeks anatomy scan. Hoping everything is good with the baby, ive started to feel some flutters and quickening this week.
Hoping to get some news from you ladies

Hi esp, that's great you're starting to feel movement, how exciting, looking forward to hearing the gender

Nothing happening for me at the moment, I think I'm 6.5 weeks roughly, got midwife next Thurs and they will arrange a scan from there, right now I'm glad they didn't arrange a scan straight away, I'm happy being oblivious to what's going on after the last early scan, makes me.anxious thinking about it so I'm happy to wait til I'm further on and see what happens with symptoms etc
At the moment I've had some heartburn, tired (always tired though lol) some.nipple stinging on and off, little bit of nausea mainly after drinking tea and coffee and this is usually late afternoon of if I have some squash in the night and crazy dreams!
Last pregnancy didn't feel anything so I'm hoping these are good signs

Hope everyone is well

Yay for flutters esp! Good to hear you are having symptoms this time star, so exciting!
Afm I finally have my 20 week ultrasound scheduled for the 28th of this month when I will be 21 weeks. My doctor wanted me to have a level 2 ultrasound since I'm older so that is why I didn't get one sooner. My husband said for mother's day that I can get a 3d scan and that is scheduled for the 20th. I'm excited to see little one again where my husband and kids can be with me. We don't have anyone to watch our kids so the ultrasound at the hospital I have to go by myself. I feel little one from time to time, my placenta is in front so I don't feel him as often as I did some of my others which makes me a little sad.

I forgot to mention that I was having a baby shower today. Its definitely early but my niece is pregnant too and is 31 weeks, she was nervous to have a baby shower with all the focus on her. She told me she wanted to do a joint one. It went well and we received a lot of beautiful gifts. I have been emotional all day. I feel so blessed to have the family and friends that I do.

I had my anatomy scan today and little man looks good. I do have to go back for another scan in a month to see if they can get a few more images of his heart and diaphragm. They couldn't get them today because of his position and he was being stubborn. They did get some of the heart but it was looking through the spine so they couldn't get the exact images they wanted. How are you ladies doing? Esperanza did you have your scan? How did it go?

Hi ladies,
Am sorry I was away for so long.
We had the 20 weeks scan and everything looked good. Am very thankful for that. I have quite a belly now that I am 24 weeks. I have to take pauses often around the house. Yesterday was my last day at work. It was a nice goodbye, with a present and a gift card. Summer vacation is two weeks away (for the kids) and i want to take advantage of every minute they are in school and not home. Nesting is for real and Im now organizing baby clothes.
We will move the kids to one room, with a bunk bed, so that project will keep me busy in the summer.
I feel a lot of movement now and DH and the kids have already felt the baby so that is nice.
Star25 have you had a scan yet?
Crazy nice that you get a baby shower! This is my third baby and never had one myself.
Hope you all are ok ladies. That was my update!
Oh i forgot! We are having a baby boy!
I have beautiful pictures but everytime i try to upload them something goes wrong in this page.

Hi ladies, glad to hear your scans have gone well! Congratulations on the baby boys!

I had a scan at 8w2d and all looked good, my 12 week scan is Monday, 12w1d
I've been nervoubut yesterday found the heartbeat at home so feel a bit better now, phew

Hi ladies!
How's everybody doing?? How's third trimester treating you?? I'm still in Italy (on holiday) right now and thank God for air-conditioning! It's been hard to get comfortable while sleeping but the beds here are pretty good, so pretty thankful for that!! Haven't been able to lie down on my back for the most part of this pregnancy.

Are you having a boy or girl?? Is this the gender that you were hoping for? We still don't know gender yet and are thinking of finding out gender only at birth and I just need to be patient for 9 more weeks. We have 3 boys and our youngest is our only daughter so we would love to have one more girl but it's so out of my control anyway.

This is my bump pic at 30 weeks pregnant. Shall we share some bump photos??

I have been so busy with life that I’m sorry I haven’t been so active on here, I got married a month ago and it took all my time planning! Anyway my little man is having a party and he is well, I’m not so much I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes about 6 weeks ago and now on insulin at night with a tablet and also breakfast fast acting insulin to keep my sugar down, also today I was told my cervix is shortening already and he is head down ready so need a bit of bed rest but not completely but I have to be a bit more concerned if my Brixton hicks as going on for too long or get strong, anyway he wasn’t overly stressing at least till my next consultation at 34 weeks he said if everything is fine I can resume life again lol.
But I am 48 nearly and I guess the fact that nothing really bad is going on I should be thankful. Not really a good bump pic, I just haven’t taken many that really show off the bump I need too, but a honeymoon on the sunbed.

Bump looks great

@Mum42crazy
Congrats on your wedding!! Wow!!! It must have been a lot of work to plan for a wedding + being heavily-pregnant!! Sorry to hear about your GD. I didn't do the glucose test this time, I decided to just check my blood sugar regularly on my own. I had GD for 2 out of 4 pregnancies and it could be controlled without insulin by eating healthily. So this time, I chose to monitor my blood sugar myself, especially my fasting sugar levels + after a big meal. I've also cut out all sugar 99% of the time but I do give myself a small treat of ice-cream / dessert sometimes, since I'm on holiday now. Italian food has been great for my sugar levels, so that's nice.

My friend, who's also 48 just gave birth to her 5th child, a girl!

Hey ladies, congratulations on your wedding day mrs! Sorry about the gd though, glad you are otherwise well!

Love the bump pics, cheerios you have will power not finding out, I'm so impatient haha

My bump pic is about 20 weeks I think, I'm 23 weeks in 2 days

Hello ladies! Congratulations on the wedding Mum42crazy! Great bump pics everyone! This pic is of me at 35weeks 2 days. I'm really feeling huge at this point. We are trying to get everything ready for little man's arrival, it's slow going because of the other 4 kiddos and the fact that I homeschool them. We are making progress though! At my ultrasound at 32 weeks they estimated little man to be 4 lbs 9oz and said he was doing well, was breech though. I have a 36 week ultrasound a week from tomorrow to see if he went head down. Overall it shouldn't be a big deal either way because I will most likely be having a repeat c section. I'm getting really excited to meet our little guy! There are a few women around me who have recently had their little ones and I'm the next one due. Seeing all of their littles just adds to the excitement. I'm trying to decide when to install the carseat. You would think this being my 5th baby I wouldn't have an issue figuring out when to do it lol. We are hopefully going to start preparing extra meals to put in the freezer this week to help us out after our little one is born. I feel like the weeks are going by quickly with all the stuff we have going on! I have already packed things for the baby and washed all of his clothes, blankets etc. We still need to set up his nursery. It feels like a lot to do but it's really not a lot left!

Hi ladies!!
How's 3rd trimester treating you all?? I had a re-read of the thread and realised that there's quite a few of us here pregnant with our 5th!! @star25 and @crazy4baby09 !! How nice!!

I've been feeling like a big fat ball!! I told my DH that I do feel the strain / difference between being a 41-year pregnant mom and my last pregnancy at 35. I have braxton hicks contractions everyday and have to take breaks ever so often!

@star25 - Do you know what you're having already? You have 1 boy and 3 girls already right? I'm sure your boy will be over the moon to have a brother!! My only girl has been praying for a baby sister and she said the same thing that she would love her baby brother as well, but I know her heart really wants a sister. We still don't know gender and the excitement is hard!! But I'm still mentally preparing myself that baby is a boy, so that I won't be disappointed. I just want a healthy, living baby after all my miscarriages.

@crazy4baby09 You're looking great!! Homeschooling 4 kids + pregnant, wow!! That's a feat in itself! My 4 kids are in school and my youngest is starting grade 1. It's been the hardest letting her go as my only girl, but she's excited for a new adventure. Congrats on your baby boy!! I'm sure your older boy must be over the moon to have a brother!

Hi ladies,
Again I took a big break from updating this theard. I will be 37 weeks tomorrow! Am super excited! The summer went by while doing little chores everyday I can say that we accomplished pretty much everything by now. My kids share a room now and they love the new space and the bunkbeds. The nursery is set and I think i have washed pretty much everything I could!
AFM it has been a bit nerve racking due to some health issues, i was diagnosed Gestacional Diabetes at 28 weeks and just got insulin prescribed last week cause the pills, diets and exercise were not doing as much. Im glad that is finally under control. Baby is breech, he loves being transverse also and he rotate between those two but has been with his head down a couple of times also so he may still turn head down. But because of the planning at the hospital we have scheduled a C Section in two weeks. I also had a scare with the blood flow in the umbilical artery, so ive been getting checks ups twice a week which include a CTG from the baby and an ultrasound just to check that artery once a week. So far so good.
Well ladies soon we will meet our babies, wishing everybody the best and lets see who arrives first!
