I don't know enough about PCOS, but it does sound like there is something going on, my dear. That is a very long time not to have a period.
The insurance thing frustrates me immensely on your behalf. I hear stories like yours and I just feel ill that there is any debate over the need for socialized health care in the US. You should be able to access a doctor to rule out anything serious going on, at the very least.
The only thing I can suggest is to try charting. That data will help you and your doctor when you are able to go in for an assessment.

Sounds like PCOS to me, but you'd need to get that confirmed by someone.

Not sure how on earth charting would help when you're not having cycles?

Try googling verity and soulcysters which are both pcos support sites.

Also Colette Harris and Theresa Cheung have written some good books on the subject.

Must agree it does sound like PCOS.Have you thought about starting Agnus castus to try and help regulate your hormones/period? Kind of sucks how you cant see a doctor over there without insurance.x
