Hi ladies,

I have my 12-week scan on Thursday afternoon and am feeling anxious. Have had scans at 6, 8 and 10 weeks at my local EPU (cos of my history of recurrent m/c) which all went really well, and have been doing OK with managing my anxieties, but still can't help myself worrying that there will be no heartbeat on Thursday.

Have had some mild cramping in the last week or so, first time in this pregnancy, and although I know this can be totally normal, stretching etc, it reminds me of my "missed" miscarriage, when this was the only symptom 'til a scan.

My little girl (nearly 2) is sick with a tummy bug - she keeps picking them up at nursery - and am off work to look after her, she is really lethargic and quiet, not like herself at all, poor thing. Hope she is better by Thurs or hubbie won't be able to come along to the scan (doubt they'd be happy about a puking toddler there, and the waiting times can be really long).

Anyone else got a scan later this week?

Oh Smiler :hugs:

I know EXACTLY how you feel. Everytime I went to the scan I expected bad news, only to come out and be surprised with the results... as they were all positive scans... the first I'd ever experienced. The last couple of weeks before my 12 week scan though and I just fell apart again. All I could think of was that everything would go wrong in that time so when I went to 12 week scan again I had prepared myself for the worst.

It is only natural to assume the worst but I can guarantee that by this time on Thursday you will be over the moon. Will be thinking of you xxx

Let me knwo how you get on as can't wait to hear all about your bouncing little baby in there :hugs:

:hugs: i know how you feel and I think alot of us are feeling like this atm

have no words of advice, but wish you lots of luck xxxxx

Hi ladies, thank you very much for the support. The scan went really well, it took ages as they were really thorough and the little one wouldn't get into the right position. So saw the baby a lot, which was lovely. I have a funny feeling it might be a boy this time. I am feeling quite excited and hopeful now, looking forward to the second tri!

That's brilliant news. Really pleased for you.

Alex
