12 Week Scan...

Hi can anyone please tell me what to expect at my first, 12 week scan. Will I hear heartbeat and get to see baby?

I had my 13 week scan on Wednesday. I didn't get to hear the heartbeat but I could see it pumping away. Yes you will see baby, mine was being naughty and wouldnt turn over until I bounced around abit. Then it stuck it's tongued out and turned back over. It will be a magical moment for you. Enjoy it. Mostly they do measurements and (sometimes) they measure the nuchal fold (which is on the back of baby's neck). You will be able to see the heart beating but it depends on your technician if they play it for you. I heard my DD heartbeat at 7 weeks, but some people don't until 24+ weeks. Either way it's such a great feeling and blessing to see your LO!
