Hello Ladies...

Here I am again for your "professional" opinion and hopeful to hear some past experiences...

I am currenlty 12dp IUI with trigger injection. I was told by my OB not to test prior to Beta at his office on September 3 because it would be too early, but I caved!!! I tested this a.m. and got a BFN!

Do you think it's possible to get a BFN at 12 dp IUI and later get a BFP?

Have any of you every gotten a BFP later than 12 dp IUI?

I would love some insight ladies! I can always count on you! :flower:

P.S. - My "Ticker" is incorrect! Probably because this was an IUI cycle with injectibles.

hey wendy. I can't offer you any personal experience or success stories but it would still be possible. Depending on when you triggered and when you had the IUI, you may only be 11dpo and I am sure you know yourself that there are many stories of bfn at that stage and a later bfp.

but it could be a bfn too. To be honest, I personally prefer testing daily up to the proper test date as I feel like it lets me down gently having lots of bfns that could turn into bfps but of course you know with each day that passes that it becomes less likely. For me I feel like its letting myself down gently rather than building everything up for one big test and one big crash, I am not sure I could invest everything in one day like that. But it really depends on you and how you deal with the ttc journey personally and what is best for you so if you can't bear to see any more bfns, wait a day or two and then test again or wait for your beta.

Hope that helps and that do you get your bfp, *hugs*

12 dpo is still early!! i usually test every other day or so as it takes a little time for the hcg to keep doubling up!

I heard the egg can still be implanting as late as 12DPO and Im not sure if it's the same as 12dpIUI....so give it 2-3 more days.

Are you temping? what's the BBT like?

Dont forget that even once the egg implants, its takes 2 days for the hcg hormone to go up enough to be detectable on a hpt. Plenty of women dont get their bfp until 15dpo.
Good luck

xx
