is it normal for a 15 week old baby not to have made any effort to try to roll over yet? ollie spend a fair amount of time laid on the rug or bed or under her play gym on her back and she also spends a bit of time on her front but she hasnt rolled over yet, she doesnt even seem to try. am i expecting too much too soon or is there anything i can do to encourage her?:flower:

I really wouldnt worry..my LO was the same, he didnt actually roll until 20+ weeks. I was worried there was something wrong, there wasnt he was just being lazy lol. She will do it in her own time..x

The only time Duncan has rolled from belly to back is accidental. He's rolled back to belly a few times but not that often. The pedi told us when my husband brought it up, that we shouldn't expect it until about 6 months-ish ;)

Hiya, my children didnt roll until they were around 20 weeks too. One day they just did it, so dont worry so soon x

I would say 15 weeks is early for a baby to try & roll over.

Both my children rolled over at about 5 months.

Wouldnt worry!!! Erin didnt roll until she was 8 MONTHS!!!!! The little lazy bones xxx

Mine is 8 months and doesn't.

She did it three times at the age of about 2 months and burst into tears each time. she accidentally doe it now when were not looking always and then complains because she didn't want to do it and wants to be placed back where she was.

No adult I've ever met can't roll over so I'm not worrying. :haha: She started sitting unaided at 6 months really well and can pulls up to standing holding my hands.

i was just wondering because i was looking through my sons red book the other day and noticed that he as rolling over at 12 weeks.....maybe he just wanted to get away from me lol x

My son didn't roll over until 17 weeks exactly...and even then, it was prompted and coached by me. I kind of tricked him, hehe. I held a toy over his head and to the side and moved it until his little head made the rest of his body tip.

Just be patient though...it will happen when they're ready.

my 23 wk old isnt rolling over yet unless hes aided in some little way so i wouldnt worry, babys do things at their own rate my eldest was crawling at 5 months but didnt walk till 15months lol

lord Sam still doesnt and he is over seven months - I dont think he wll either streaight to walking that one he is farrr too chilled and cool for all that wiggling but Fynn slippery little wiggle bum he his xx

My LO still hasn't rolled over yet (21 weeks). She can sit unaided for ages though and can turn herself round in circles to get toys! Lol

My daughter was the same. Showed no interest.then at 5 months i put her down in her cot and she rolled back to front. She then did it a few days later and then after that daily. she is 6 months now and it was probably less than 2 weeks ago that she rolled front to back. The front to back roll she spent a good 10 minutes trying to roll before she did it. Its the 1st thing i have actually seen her try to do. She was 24 weeks

lol mine hasnt rolled at 22 weeks shes got no intention of it. she finds being on her tummy far 2 anoying. she only wants 2 sit up and now shes almost mastered that she keeps trying to stand. ive kinda give up on the whole will she role thing, she just thinks she 2 good for tummy time haha.

Noah has just started rolling at 21 weeks and Poppy isnt even interested try not to worry! xxx

my ollie doesnt ever roll unless he's trying to sit up and its by mistake LOL or if he's sleeping...strange little one xx

Hun, Charlie isnt interested at all - hes done it twice, with a bit of encouragement, but just doesnt seem to want to do it!He 21 weeks on Friday and Hes sitting up for 10 seconds at a time unaided so i guess some babies do things the wrong way round!

Omar rolled over frm back to tummy at 5 mnths. He loves tummy time & wasnt interested to roll over the other way. at around 7.5 mnths he started rolling over tummy to back. He never did the rolling over around the place thing.
