15 wks - Getting pains in side by ovary (I think)

Hi all

I dont know if this is common. Im getting a pain in my left side (I believe its around where my ovary is) its been really mild for the past week or so (on and off) but then I had a sharp pain that lasted for about 10- 15 secs it made me hunch over and im just wondering if anyone else gets this?

I get them too and have been the whole time, although it's much less frequent now than it was in first tri. I was told it's just a part of round ligament pains from your uterus stretching and growing. It usually happens when you get up from sitting or roll over too quickly in bed. Try standing up slowly, I try to imagine I have to be gentle with my belly lol and that makes me move a bit more slowly and helps me not get the shooting pain. It's normal though

Deffo normal! i had this through first tri and still get it now and then now, spoke to MW and Dr about it and both said perfectly normal x

Hi Girls

Thanks for replying I had a look into more people who have felt the same thing and I believe its called Round Ligament Pain so when I see my midwife on the 7th Ill double check with her. It is very prone to start in your second trimester also.

I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and just got these pains last night, really uncomfortable but they've gone now!!

I get the same thing I get back pain too, and sneezy is scary because it totally hurts down there too. Totally normal. I had an ultrasound recently (I have been getting a lot of them because I have a low-lying placenta and have been spotting) and I was literally watching him or her basically use me as a trampoline for 20 minutes straight. lol So whenever I get the pains, I just think somebody is dancing.

Ahh the joys of round ligament pain, the other day I forgot to bend over when I sneezed so my uterus was all the way stretched, it had me in tears I think it goes away eventually...

I'm waiting for my period had the same kind of pain last night... Woke up out of a deep sleep it hurt so bad I took a test Sat it was negative... Any clue what it may be? It was on my right side near ovaries had cramping all day but no site of af... ( it was negative @9dpo?)
