Hi Ladies,

My partner and i have been trying to Conceive for around 1yr
but for the whole 3.5yrs together never used any sort of protection and have never fallen pregnant.

i have PCOS since i was about 18 now 25. and my partner has a low Count which he is taking Menivit to help with it

i also had endo surgey at the begining of the year.

I was orginally put on 50mg clomid and it didnt do anything. so my fertility doctor bumped me up to 150mg and that didnt work either.

i am now going to start this cycle with 200mg Clomid and 1000mg Metformin.

we are going to try clomid for a couple more months and if that doesnt work then we will be looking into ivf next year.

has anyone had any success stories with 200mg clomid and metformin?

All i want is to be a mum :baby: and its just not happening. :(

Hi Misscassie, I see you are moving onto IVF if clomid doesn't work. Has your doctor discussed IUI before going straight to IVF?

Perhaps you can talk to your doctor about IUI. Do you see and gyn or RE?

I have asked about iui before with my doctor. But I will ask again on Wednesday when I have my next scan.

I have a very good gyn she is at Pindara Private Hospital
She is a fertility specialist and had done a lot of work with pcos.

That's good. Good luck!

ok MissCassie sounds good that you have a visit this week where you can discuss IUI. I know that in most instances (I know everyone's situation is different) docs recommend trying IUI before moving onto IVF. GL on your visit this week and keep me posted on how it goes.

So my appointment has been a little disappointing. My largest folie was only 10mm and I'm on cd13 so I am going back next Wednesday and I will be CD19. They better grow more!! But I am very doubtful.

I spoke about iui and we are doubtful that would even work. Because I have a huge ovulation issue and because my partners count is low. So I think I'm just going to save up and do ivf. So after this cycle I am going to he out and just lose some weight and who knows I may get a BFP naturally.

Your not out yet this cycle so don't be discouraged. Folllies grow 2mm per day I think so by next week should be perfect for fertilization. With the issues we have, IVF is our best option as well but doctor recommended we give 1 IUI round a try before moving onto that step. I am praying the IUI does the trick but at the same time mentally preparing myself should IVF be the road we have to travel. Will your doc be triggering ovulation when you go back next week?

Well hopefully they are ready for trigger next week.
I just Know that on 150mg at day 19 they were still only 10mm so that's why I am nervous about.

Also I don't want to waste money on iui if there is a lower chance of catching the egg..

Best of luck with your iui :) hopefully it does the trick for you.
