Hey all.
I recently went in for my 16 week checkup. The whole appointment ended up being almost hilarious.
First of all, my doctor was 50 minutes late. I was pretty mad until I saw the look on his face when he came in. He's an awesome doctor, so I easily forgave him.
Prior to this, the nurse wanted to enroll me in a program called "First Breath". This is a program for pregnant women who still smoke. I explained to her that I had quit smoking 1 week after getting the BFP and that it was in my notes. She ended up asking me 3 times if I wanted to join it. After that, 2 other nurses ended up coming in to ask me if I had wanted to join! I was getting pretty pissed by then.
Then came time to listen to the baby's heartbeat via doppler. We got our sweet revenge on the stupid nurse! It took 10 minutes for the baby to stop moving enough to get a decent reading. The nurse was getting frustrated! It was pretty funny!
At least the baby is pretty active!!!
I left the doctor's office with information on the smoking cessation program. I finally just took the information so the nurse could get off the topic.
How annoying!!!
