17 days late still bfn

My period never came. Just a day early I had brown spotting for 2 days and I was pumped because I saw 2 girls on forums with the same sympoms who later got bfp. Now it's been 17 days. Im waiting til my next period to go to the doctor if I dont get it. I'm basically just tired and confused at this point the emotional roller coaster is crazy! Anyone in the same boat? Or someone that got a super late bfp? I have a few old ones saved on my phone with really late bfps but I'd love to hear it from someone!

I've seen this a couple times, and was a couple days late myself with a BFN and googled the snot out of it.

The possibilities don't help much. I read that twins can cause a late BFP. I read that some woman never show positive, even right when they're ready to pop. PCOS and other conditions can cause you not to ovulate, which means AF can take weeks to show, and a BFN is accurate. I read that some woman take awhile to regulate after coming of BCP, so if you did that, it could be a reason. Same with something like depo (the birth control shot). Stress can delay your period. Some woman also just take awhile to go BFP.

So....keep testing??

Try asking your GP to take a blood test. There's no reason to keep on trying HPTs, a blood test will give you a quicker answer.

I agree with getting a blood test as it could really go either way

I have read about people not showing a bfp until as late as 8 weeks ( praying for you!)

i have also had a similar experience where i didnt have a period for TWO MONTHS! i usually have af 29-35 days. i kept taking tests over and over and kept getting negatives. i finally went in for a blood test and intravaginal sonagram and it turned out i had cysts messing up my whole system.

Hopefully that didnt dash your hope but i would def visit your gyno to confirm
