I went in to get an elective ultrasound from my MIL who works in Labor and delivery at our hospital, she said she's not great at getting angles but she'd try to see what we were having. Well as soon as she put the wand on my stomach, it was a good top view of the pelvis, I unfortunately couldn't see much because it was on a small screen and I was laying down but my husband and mother in law both swear it looked like girl parts, she told me that she didn't want to call it and to come in the next day because her coworker was better at it but that it looked a lot like girl parts.

We went back and her friend gave me another ultrasound and same thing, as soon as the wand was on my stomach she saw what she said were girly parts and it was more of a potty shot angle. She moved around and said it looked girly from all angles and took a few pictures and again I couldn't see the screen. My husband saw the whole thing both times and thinks I'm crazy because I'm having the worst anxiety that I'm going to go in at 20 weeks and be told boy when I'm so excited that we're supposed to be having a girl. (this is our last baby and it'd be nice to have one of each) Plus we already told our family it's a girl and I've started adding girl things to my registry.

I started second guessing myself because I couldn't see baby live when it was going on, I posted shots in a mom group on facebook and someone said it didn't even look like "parts" at all, it looked like a stomach, I had one person tell me that boy parts can look like girl parts sometimes and etc etc which didn't make me feel any better. A few people did say they see girl but I'm just really paranoid now that even though I have 3 people saying girl that I'll get to my ultrasound in a few weeks and find out it's a boy. My husband has no doubt in his mind that what he saw was a little girl, I just wish I would have seen it myself while baby was moving around.
I also want to mention the lady who did the second ultrasound also did one for my son at 14 weeks and was correct and she also did my sister in laws and was correct so she's been right before.
I'm just an anxious mess.

Please give me some reassurance <3

Also while I'm thinking of it, a friend of mine is due one day before me, She's having a boy and it was clearly a boy. My son at 14 weeks was clearly a boy so I should feel confident with them saying girl but I still have doubts.

This is my first baby, so I don't have much echo experience, but my boy was CLEARLY a boy and my sister's boy was CLEARLY a boy at 16 weeks. My friend too. I know sometimes it's not always as clear, but for the good 4-5 people I know with boys, there was not an inch of a doubt that it was a boy.

Nothing on your echo ring a bell to anything similar to my little boy's parts.

I'm thinking :pink: from your photos!
Good luck!

I would say girl as well. I've had 5 girls and 2 boys. My boys were CLEARLY boys at 15 -16 weeks.

Thank you <3 I tend to work myself up in my mind and especially because we told family and we're so excited that it's supposed to be a girl, I couldn't stop thinking that maybe it could be a boy. My MIL said its either a girl or a boy with a really small penis, but my son was clearly a boy earlier than this so I think that I'm like 90% convinced it's a girl and my anxiety is playing on the 10% that it may not be.

It's definitely a little girl !!!! :cloud9:
