17dpo dark brown spotting + BFN

Hi Ladies
i wondered if I could use your brains! I'm 17dpo my luteal phase is pretty much always 14 days (occ 15). I got a positive opk at CD14 and had before, during and after. Af was due Sunday (15dpo) but didn't come. My boobs are killing me + are enormous + veiny but i feel "periody".
Last night i thought AF had come I had a tiny bit of red blood but alsao creamy CM +++ when i wiped, so i had a cry and ate a bar of galaxy! There was no bleeding overnight and this morning when I wiped there was dark brown but there's still nothing on the pad. I never spot before my period and my period is always red is it a weird period? I'm assuming it's too late for implantation bleeding and I did a test yesterday afternoon (16dpo) and it was negative
Any advice gratefully received!

There are a couple of things, you could have ov'd later. I've had a lh surge but not ov'd til later. Could be implantation bleed or spotting before your af.

If your af hasn't arrived in a few days try another hpt. If that's negative I'd suggest you see you Gp.
