Ok so this is my 3rd baby (5th pregnancy) and I feel like I have a bump but it hasn't grown...

I know every pregnancy is different and I've even shared the same advice with other concerned ladies but I can't help but worry a little about it.

Just to add, I haven't gained a single pound yet, I've lost about 10 total since the beginning of my pregnancy and so I know that probably makes a little bit of a difference but all my friends said "if you have a boy, you're going to get huge and gain a lot of weight" well we know we have a boy now but the huge part so far has not been true for me...

Just need some reassurance I guess :flower:

Honestly if your dr/midwife isnt concerned i wouldnt be. Most weight gain doesnt happen until roughly the third trimester. I myself am 26 weeks tomorrow and dont have much of a bump or gained much weight. However im also on the overweight side. All that really counts is that you are eating frequently and eating healthy foods. As long as you are doing that baby is fine. Some people just dont gain a lot of weight or show until later. Some just pop all of a sudden. Eating properly is the most important, not the bump size or weight gain. Btw its normal for some weight loss as often many change their diets as soon as they find out they are pregnant....or the evil morning sickness comes in.

with both my boys at 18 weeks I barely had a bump. I looked like most people did at 13 14 weeks.
this is my 3rd and i'm 17 weeks, i'm about the size I was at 20 21 weeks with my boys. I've gained 3lbs. lost 8lbs at the start but I had nothing to lose so it ended up making me look very ill. i'm still down 5lbs from pre-pregnancy.
like you said every pregnancy is different.

This is my first pregnancy and I am down 9 pounds from the day we confirmed the pregnancy. I'm barely showing, you can tell if I'm in my underwear, but when I have clothes on, not so much. And I'm not about to parade around in my underwear haha. I do feel worried about the weight loss, I wasn't trying for it at all, I think it was just a side effect of eating much healthier once we found out I was pregnant. But it just doesn't seem right. My doc has said she isn't worried at all and won't be worried unless I don't gain in the third trimester.

It makes me feel bad, I've waited so long to be pregnant, I want it to show! I feel like I'm still not part of the Mommy club. DH and I went to Babies R Us yesterday to start getting supplies, and since I'm not showing, I felt like other mothers in the section were silently judging me. A store clerk even asked me if I was expecting or shopping for someone else. I want in this club!!

Thanks everyone! I guess it's just hard when you go through a loss too, just makes me question everything!

Prettybirdy i totally feel you on that. Im barely showing (getting almost to the end of 2nd tri) and to those who dont know im expecting, it looks more like im just more fatter and not so bump like. Also when i mention to others how far along i am, they look a little shocked when they look at me. It took us 17 months of trying and i just really want a nice baby bump and feel more like being in the mommy club. At least my boys constant kicks make me happy.

I'm there with you! My bump is totally non existence, in the last week it will come and go depending on what I eat. But the last two days even by the end of the day my stomach is flat. Although I'm only 16 weeks, but by this point with DS1 I had an obvious little bump I still have all my old bump pictures and can't help compare myself. I do have an anterior placenta this time around and last Friday at my scan I was told it's still pretty low so I don't know if that is a factor in it. I just want my little bump to start growing so I can enjoy this pregnancy, I just feel in limbo at the moment and feel like phoney ha

hi i'm newly pregnant, this is my first pregnancy as far as i know and i am looking for a little guidance. the doctor said i am around 6 weeks but i should be around 4 weeks but i am very nervous as i have a small lump right above my pubic bone, i don't know wether this is normal or not, not sure wether i have swelling or something as i have felt a lot of stretching in my uterus the past week or so. my partner has a suspicion i might be with twins. i am due for the midwife to ring me tomorrow to arrange an appointment but was told it wouldn't be for another couple of weeks and i wont be able to get a scan until 11 or 12 weeks to see how many i am carrying and how far i am with due date. i have read quite a bit people saying if you have this your more than likely further than you think but i know my body quite well and about a week after conception i knew instantly i was pregnant and many positive tests later and a visit to the doctor it was confirmed. any help i can get is much appreciated :)

Aw really don't worry about it. I know it's so much easier said then done! With my first, a boy btw, I didn't show until around 30 weeks and it still wasn't noticeable to strangers until nearly 40! I even had some lady at a corner market I went to 2-3 times a week ask me who's baby I had with me!

Every pregnancy is different, and one morning you're going to wake up and wonder where the heck this huge bump came from!
