I noticed last night that my ankles and feet looked swollen....is this normal so early on??could it be beacause i wear high heels to work every day!?I'm 18 weeks pregnant with twins and my bump has only just started to appear...im a size 14 so not huge.

Don't think it's ever too early for swollen feet! I noticed mine started swelling from 15 weeks with a singleton! I keep my feet propped up whenever possible and have bought some ultra-sensible but oh so comfy Clarks shoes. Although you don't want heels, totally flat shoes aren't good either. A 1 inch heel is best

I too have had swollen feet for several weeks now and am having one baby.
I think it is common. Lucky girl that you can still wear your heels! My back gets so sore if I do that I've given them up for flats these days.
Try to keep your feet elevated whenever you can and it should help the swelling.

Get those heels of! You can realy do damage to your back if you ware heels when pregnant, expecialy with twins. You may just be starting to get a bump now but there is allready a lot of extra weight your back and legs are having to compensate for.

I've had swollen hands and feet for a while now and with a singleton, the heels can only be making it worse, wear something more sensible, soon your center of gravity will change and make you clumsy so being on heels will make it worse

Im expecting twins and have had swollen everything for ages now. Amazed you can wear heels i had to stop at 8 weeks, I struggle to stand up most days lol

I got swollen ankles around 18 weeks too. I elevated my feet when I could (box under my desk) and they calmed down again once the temperature dropped. Went on for around two weeks.
I would suggets ditching the heels too.

thanks for your replies!....the heels have been binned as of half hour ago and i am feeling much more comfortable in flat pumps :-) just can't wait to get home and get my feet up!

xx

ouch!! no heels flats from now on and feet up as soon as you can. drink lots of water, helped me when i felt sore ect..........are your twins identical as your scan pic looks like they maybe?? xx
