1st cycle of clomid - advice pls

does anyone know when i should expect AF if i dont know if or when i ovulated

did it make your cycles shorter?

did you notice symptom changes during the month? i have sore achey boobs and been having a lot of tummy pains and shooting pains which i dont normally have but maybe this is because of the clomid?

Hey chick, I'm on my 1st cycle .... taking the last tablet tonight ...
So far I've not really had any symptoms, although my Dr did say I could may be expect more cramping nr AF, general PMT symptoms headaches and AF arriving sooner if I O'd sooner, possibly. Also she said I may notice O more?

I am on my third round, and what you have described sounds to me that you have ovulated. I get those symptoms right afterwards, and when I take my progesterone, it even gets even more worse than it usually does for me. As far as your cycle getting longer or shorter, I guess that would depend on the reason why you take it. I take Clomid for a luteal phase defect. Clomid makes the corpus luteum stronger, thus producing more progesterone - which, in my case, makes my cycle longer. If, however, you are taking it because you don't ovulate on your own, then potentially it could shorten your cycles, since you will now (hopefully) be ovulating.

I'm getting those symptoms now though on CD 30 so i was wondering if it might be af symptoms or something

me and OH are praying for a BFP this cycle

I'm taking it for ovulation as i dont ovulate on my own reguarly so i was hoping it would shorten my cycle

i suppose if AF doesnt come by monday i could test then or something but i just dont wanna see another BFN and i hate all this waiting to see if shes gonna turn up

It's hard to say, because the symptoms you describe around CD30 could also be AF symptoms. Clomid seems to make those symptoms more exaggerated. I would wait to test, hopefully you will get a BFP.

That's great that it sounds like it worked anyways (made you ovulate). I have been pregnant five times, and all the times I have been pregnant, it has never felt any different than when AF arrived, not at least until a few weeks after my BFP. Good luck to you!!!

Yep you are right I really shouldn't get my hopes up as these are probably af symptoms! I would love it to be a bfp but its probably my af on the way x

Hey ladies, I was on Clomid in April 1st Round and got my BFP!
Toke it at night before bed.
Didnt really feel any different, my Cycle was usually @ 38days so on cd 21 no ovulation found at blood tests usually, but on my round of Clomid i did ovulate and got a reading of 29! And then i started spotting at cd 27 which is unheard of for me, usually arrives and thats me done and dusted!! So i did a test on CD 31 and got my BFP!!!!

yes i def feel ovulation on clomid, i get a very dull ache in my lower abdomen that even hurts when i walk on some days!

i am on my 5th round of clomid, good luck.

I didn't worry about what day i might have ovulated. We just bd'ed every other day until CD 30, and I waited until CD 40 to test.

I had had 36-day cycles before so I waited until CD 40. But if you've never gone out that far, you would get a now.

nah i had a 34 day cycle last month and then a few 23 day ones before that....longest ever was 44 but i cant wait that long and was hoping clomid would shorten my cycles.....really praying its our turn -

I had had even 18-day cycles! It was awful! One month 18, the other 36, then back to 20... Total nightmare!

Can't say if Clomid shortens cycles since the first time I tried Clomid I got a

I'm feeling very restless and annoyed with myself now as i'm sure i wont get a BFP and all the excited thoughts will just make it harder when AF comes, thought my cycles would be shorter on clomid too so i'm gutted that its day 30 and nothing
dunno what to think anymore and this keeps getting harder....
still having a ache in my right side that wont leave.....its getting on my nerves now as i dunno what it is
