Hello Ladies:flower:

I'm hoping for a bit of help. My OH and I have our initial ICSI consultation on Tuesday. I'm not sure excatly what is going to happen during it. We've had all the tests etc and our hospital has faxed our results to the clinic. I'm sure I need to ask questions, but I'm not sure what. Does anyone have any advice?

I'm a terrible one for nodding pretending that I understand then walking out later having no idea what's been said. So I will be taking a pen and paper with me!

Hugs and luck to all
:hugs:

I was the same as you. I didn't have a clue either but our consultant was so good that I think he covered everything. He went all through our test results and explained what was wrong with them and why he thought ICSI would be more successful than IUI. He knew straight off just by looking at my medical history that I would be doing the Long Protocol and had a diagram explaining every single process. And before the consultation, they sent a whole load of info out, about the clinic and what procedures they do and what's involved in each one. I walked out of their with so much info! The only question I wanted to ask was when can we start? :laugh2: Seriously though, I really think it depends on how good they are... Sorry if that wasn't much help :p

Thank you tickled!!

So glad you said that was your only question! I just want to ask that straight away!

You look like you are starting now! That's great and seems quick!

Good luck with everything :hugs:

Thanks Springflower :hugs:

Yep, things were very quick. We had our first consultation March 6th. I was on CD21 when we visited so I had to wait for my next cycle to start... but then their head clinic wanted DH to do one more test, a Karyotype test so it was delayed for April. Then had my pre-treatment scan May 6th and started DR two weeks later. So if it wasn't for the fact that I was on CD21 and they wanted to do one more test, we would've been finished by now... but hey ho!

Anyways, good luck with your consultation. I'm sure it will be just fine but pen and paper is a great idea ;)
