My LO has his 1st set of jabs tomorrow and people keep telling me to get the calpol ready!! Just wondering if its right that they are poorly after?!

Anna got hers last week and I never noticed any difference!!

She did scream loudly for a few seconds when the did the jag, but other than that she was fine.

I was given a prescription for baby liquid paracetamol - but never used any of it.

I hope all goes well:flower:

Bun slept more that normal, but that's it. I didn't have to give him drugs or anything.

xx

When my baby got hers she seemed fine then out the blue she got hot and sweaty and started crying every five minutes. It turned into a fairly rough day. We gave her baby tylanal and that helped her with the fever.... lots of luck.

Thanks girlys!!! Must admit not a day im looking forward too :(

I gave Betsy some calpol before but she was fine. Her second set she did not have any calpol but this time she did get the pea size lump on her legs. 5 days after she has still got the lump but that is natural.

Good luck. I cried more than she did!

Rebecca had hers last week. She was tetchy for the rest of the day and a bit hot so I gave her some calpol that evening. By the next day she was fine.

I was absolutely dreading the injections and to be honest they were fine - Rebecca coped with them far better than I did that's for sure!!

I thought mine was gona be fine untill 4 days after, he was real upset for about two days then. My friend then told me hers were the same 3/4 days after, but all my other friends children were fine!

Ella was very unsettled the night she had her needles so had some Calpol but has been fine since.

My baby was absolutely fine too, as someone else said, cried when the needle went in but not for long and no side effects after xx

H had a bit of a temp that evening but was fine in herself. I just brought her temp down with a damp luke warm cloth applied to her neck and body and let her dry naturally, and left her sleepsuit open for 10 mins or so before bed and her temp came right down. She cried at the jabs (they do one leg then the other) and looked a bit indignant but calmed quickly.

She has slept a bit more than normal and was a little clingy but she's fine. It's not pleasant and you'll feel guilty lol, but it's not as bad as you think. (ours were last week and I was panicking like hell).

Big hugs honey. You'll both be fine. Xxx

Emma had a slight fever for about two hours and slept a lot the day after but that is it. And the next set of shots she was perfectly fine and had no reaction whatsoever. Didn't even cry much after getting them either. The first time was the worst though. For me more than her, I'm sure. :haha:

Evie was very unsettled and sleepier for a couple of days after her 1st set of jabs, but we didnt need to give her calpol.
Yesterday she had her third set (3 injections too!!!) and was really bad last night, in that she just would not settle and seemed in alot of pain so I gave her some Calpol. Thing is, she's teething too so on top of that, it was a bad night! She seems fine today, just a bit sleepier than usual :)
