1st round of Clomid next month - 100mg??

Hi ladies,
I'm hoping you can help! I start my first round of Clomid next month and my consultant has prescribed me 100mg for 5 days (day 2-6), when I went to collect from the chemist today, he seemed puzzled why I had been prescribed 100mg and not 50mg, now I'm a bit worried!

What do yout think? Obviously the consultant knows what he's doing but I just want some reassurance!

Some consultants will start immediately on 100g some will start with the lower dose of 50 and see how you respond. I was prescribed 100g immediately and on my 5th cycle I had 4 bif follicles so it was reduced to 50g. Basically I'm saying being prescribed 100g immediately isn't unusually in my experience. Thanks very much for your reply, it's put my mind at ease! I have to go for bloods on month 2 and 3 so I'm hoping that it kickstarts something in there

i was on 100mg of clomid for just over a yr then i was on 150mg for a few months

some docs do straight away prescribe u 100mg instead of 50mg..so dont worry and all the best to u...

Thanks ladies, I feel much better now! Just waiting for AF then I can start... I have a kind of wishful thinking she might not arrive but I wouldn't be that lucky, thanks again xx
