Hopefully I'm posting in the right place. Looking for some reassurance as I'm a nervous wreck right now, but I understand it's in God's hands.
I turned 40 on July 25th of this year. In May of this year I experienced a miscarriage at 5 weeks. I had to have a d&c a couple of weeks later because my body would not expel the products of the pregnancy. My husband and I then went on a strict organic diet with lots of the right vitamins and received a full fertility scan at the hospital, which we passed all tests with flying colors/great results. My FSH was 8, which my dr said is always important regarding ovarian reserve.
I got pregnant again and based on my last mentrual of Sept 19th, I'm 6 weeks+2 days and last week I started experiencing light spotting (pink) that went away after two days, so I was relieved. The bleeding was never enough to fill a pad; only drops but I always saw it when I wiped. I should also mention that my dr has me on 200mg of Prometrium twice per day to give additional support to my uterine lining he said. I insert a pill vaginally in the morning and before I go to bed at night.
Yesterday, the light spotting (pink) started again. Today a small blood clot came out on the tissue when I wiped (TMI, sorry) which made me freak. The blood clot was dark red. If it was grey I would have freaked out more because I'm told often than enough that's the embryo. Now the bleeding has stopped again or at least for now. I have absolutely no other symptoms like cramping or backaches. My boobs are still sore and I even took a pregnancy test yesterday and it came back positive.
On Oct 21st I had testing done: BHCG was 2,234 and Progesterone was 18. I started taking the Prometrium on Oct 24th and the first episode of light bleeding started Oct 26th.
I don't know what to think at this point. My dr appt isn't until Monday, but I'm praying that I don't experience another miscarriage. I have a 9 year old son and another son, which I call my bonus child (i.e. step son) so my husband and I would love to have a child together to round out our family.
If anyone could give me any insight I would appreciate it
