Hey ladies, hope everyone's well. I need some advice/reassurance.

I've been bleeding for about two months now steadily, not with a heavy flow most of the time. I've been spotting most of the time (brown stringy only visible when I wipe) with occasional red days. The past week I've had what looks like a real period-regular flow, normal smallish clots, etc.

It's very nervewracking. We're at 12 months of TTC and everything was normal until January when I tried a cycle of soy isos. I went to the gyno in Feb and had an exam and pap smear since I had irregularity. It's only continued since then. The next apt I could schedule is April 12.

In the meantime I'm hoping what looks like a real period ends and no more spotting continues after. If my "period?" doesn't stop after a total 10 days I think I may go ahead and go to the ER and see what they'll do.

Opinions? Feedback? Information? Similar situations? What do you think the gyno may do at my next appt? Just scared, very unfamiliar territory.

Thanks, baby dust and what-not!

wow you say all of this happend after your first round of soy??? i never heard of a side effect like that...omg. so how many days have you been spotting/ bleeding?

Back in September I started my period after not having one for six months. It started off kind of light and my OB/GYN gave me Provera because I was going to start Clomid. She said the Provera would stop the bleeding and start a new bleed a few days later; I ended up keeping on bleeding, only much heavier with huge clots. It was terrible. I ended up bleeding nonstop for a month before it finally stopped! My doctor said it was probably just because it had been so long since I'd had a normal period.

They might give you Provera to stop the bleeding, and then you would start bleeding again- hopefully a bleed more like a normal period.

almost 3 years ago i had very very heavy bleeding start mid cycle, after lots of doctors, i was put on bed rest, i was bleeding a scary amount, during this 3 week period i moved states, found a new amazing doctor. the bleeding eventually stopped i had a million tests went on and off drugs, i had 2 more similar bleeds, finially it was decided that it was stress related. to be honest that answer really pissed me off, but they played with my hormones and i did some therapy and now do yoga and acupuncture and i am a new women, no pms, light period, super regular. so while it was just stress for me talk to your doctor, be honest about you stress, and the drugs you are on, and be ready for several internal ultrasounds. good luck, it took about 18 months to get things back in order with me.
