This is my second baby and I had an infection with my first c section so I'm super sensitive. So far I've been great healing well. I'm 2 weeks post surgery and I just noticed a lump right above my incision. It's sore, hard like a little ball. I'm kind of freaking out. I called health link and they said I should be seen within 24 hours. But it's Friday night now, husband works tomorrow, we have a 2 year old and I can't drive! Ill get there though that's not the problem.
I'm just worried about the infection. Last time was horrible. I regressed right to day 1 last time. Recovery had to start all over again. I can't go through that again. plus I have a penicillin allergy so anything they give me will make me have brutal diarrhea (the alternatives always upset my belly) and I'm worried about passing thrush onto baby. And I'm breast feeding and they told me to take baby to the hospital with me if I need to feed. And I really don't want to take a 2 week old to an emergency room.
Ugh. I know it'll be fine but last time was just awful. I can't go back there. I tried so hard to avoid an infection this time took extra care of myself. Now there's something going on anyways.
But last time my wound was red, warm and swollen and the incision started to weep. This time it's totally different. My incision is totally sealed except for this hard lump that is warm and sore. I'm scared its deep and angry.
