I have no idea but from the one that looks like it's in front of the other I'd say boy!
I read that you cant really tell yet at 12 wks as those parts are just starting to develop. But based on the skull i think it looks like a boy!

I thought a flat skull meant a girl shows how useless I am, how isit you tell by the skull because I now don't have a clue? Haha
I think it's a girl. I've been googling 12 week scans of girls and most are pretty consistant with the 2 horizontal (more or less) lines. The angle of the lines seems to be an indicator as well...less than 30 degrees to horizontal is a girl and more than 30 degrees is a boy. This is the "angle of the dangle" theory.
Of course there is still room for error and the accuracy goes up each week
I studied skeletal anatomy in college, extensively, and even documented a collection of neonatal craniums donated from the hospital (macabre I know)...but there is no way to tell gender based on the skull. People do not start to develop the common feminine/masculine features until hormone
production kicks in.

Sorry to sound thickBut I have baby brain lol what do you mean the one above the other?
I had that white line showing up on my DD's scan & although they say its too early to tell, she was a Girl
When will you find out?![]()
2 White lines tends to indicate a boy and 3 a girl. However... I can't tell anything from you scan aka lines. I do know after my 12 week scan I scoured the internet looking for how to interpret my scan and was 100% certain I had a boy... until I had a private scan a few weeks ago which clearly showed a girl.
So..... I'm going to guess a girl.![]()
I had two white line like that and I am having a baby boy!I drove myself crazy searching the internet for clues and was convinced it was a girl! But our little boy sure proved me wrong when we got our scan!lol

Well...at this stage their parts look almost identical if you were able to see inside. I believe this means that's it would be common to see the 2 white lines with eiher gender. What I was referring to is the "angle of the dangle" theory. It's a theory looking at these 2 white lines that says the angle of these 2 white lines is indicative of gender. I'll try to find more on, like a website or something and post it back on here.
Hi Loula145, I found a website that describes the "angle of the dangle" theory pretty well!
Here it is!

These are 2 others I've looked at too that were pretty informative about development and looking at scans later on in pregnancy.
