20 week Measurements Curiosity!

Infact this is the only thing it says in my notes

CRL = blank
BPD = blank
FL = blank
HC = blank
AC = blank
Liquor = N (what does that mean??)
Placenta = Post not low (What??)
Presenting - Br (what??)
Fetal heart = a tick
Comments = s=d (what does this mean??)

thts weird ruth!!! all i know is placenta not low is good lol xxx

placenta post...... posteria, means at the back.?
Liquor n..... normal?
Fetal heart tick..... found
was this at 20 weeks, they must of taken other measurements, pehaps on a computor?

my 20 week (19+4 really!) scan sizes are :

Biparietal diameter (BPD) 50mm
Head circumferance (HC) 175mm
Posteriour ventricle (Vp) 7mm
Transcerebellar diameter (TCD) 20mm
Cisterna magna (CM) 5mm
Nuchal fold thickness 4mm
Abdominal circumferance (AC) 137mm
Femur length (FL) 31mm

think they are all around 'average' but the head circumferance is as big as it should be at 21 weeks !!! :hugs: to all

sara

xxxxxxx

Ruth it's not normal here to get your results. When I was in Ontario and pregnant with my first son I never had any idea what all the details were. Just that everything was normal.

Yeah all measurements were taken but prob recorded on computer was just told everything fine nothing to be worried about, but now I think about it would have been nice to have known x

BPD = Biparietal Diameter = the diameter of the baby's head.

According to my notes, taken at our 20 week scan when I was 20 wk 4, our measurements are

BPD - 51 mms/ 21wks 2 days
HC - 187 mms/ 20wks 6 days
Femur Length - 34 mms/ 21wks 1 day
Abdo circum - 150 mms/ 20wks
Cerebellum - 21.1 mms (part of brain related to sensory perception)
Ventricles (at atrium) - 6.2 mms (sections of the heart)
Cisterna Magna - 3.6 mms (part of the brain - I think!!!)

hello this is my first reply so not sure if ive done it right lol. just wondering what weight ur son was when born ? xx

I never got any measurements on my notes just ticks :shrug:

she said everything measured spot on for the dates :D

Am just back from my scan and had just mostly ticks apart from these ones! (at 19w+6)

HC - 179mm
AC - 152mm
FL - 31mm

From those big tummy, short legs!

wow mines so much smaller than everyone elses

BPD - 43 mm
HC - 164mm
AC - 141mm
Fl - 34mm

xx

All i got at 20 week scan was

HC - 182mm
FL-34mm

It's all normal so :thumbup:

mine was taken at 19+6
all i have is
BPD - 45.5mm
FL-31.0mm
HC - 164.0mm

According to the graph on following page baby spot on.

Do they ever use any of these measurements to give you an 'estimated' birth weight? I did ask the Sonographer and her blunt answer was just 'no' (!)

My little man is small as well.... I have to go back in a couple of weeks for a growth scan..

My measurements at 19 weeks:

BPD: 41
HC: 148
AC: 118
FL: 24

Hopefully bubs catches up by my next scan!

This thread is really interesting, have just dug out my notes....

At 20+5:

BPD - 50mm
FL - 34mm
HC - 181mm
AC - 162mm

I think this is the biggest AC on the whole thread, oh dear hungry baby haha!!!!
On the graphs in my notes everything is spot on the middle line except the AC which is just above the middle line but still within the normal range (below top line)

xxx

Very similar to mine! At the 20 week scan, Femur Length was 39.8mm! Everything else totally normal, just with long legs! At the 27 week scan they were a bit more normal, but still very long!

Just thought as this thread was being revisted, I'd update!

LO was 7lb 7oz when born, and very, very short! I don't know what happened to those long legs, but since birth he has always been on the short side. He weighs a ton though.

At 21 weeks our little one had these measurements :

BPD : 49 mm
HC : 185 mm
AC : 170 mm
FL : 37 mm

We were told that all is normal so I'm trying not to let the HC measurement make my eyes water ;)

Thanks for updating asacia, interesting to hear how your little boy looked when born, just goes to show how the growth rate can vary massively in tummy!!! I was told at 34/35 weeks that my son had massive feet and indeed he did hahaha! xxx
