20 week Measurements Curiosity!

Do they ever use any of these measurements to give you an 'estimated' birth weight? I did ask the Sonographer and her blunt answer was just 'no' (!)

Dont think so. Think more scans some women get done later on give you estimated birth weight or if get 4d scan that tells you.
In my notes ive got estimate birth weigth which been worked from how heavy amber was, when start plotting the fundal height of my belly give me clearer estimate. Mines anywhere from 7lb 12oz to 10lbs lol

My scan was at 20+1 and the only measurements that were recorded were:

HC 167mm
FL 31mm

Which she said were fine. Looking at my maternity notes, these measurements are slightly below the mid line on the graph, but still within the shaded bits (that basically means he's between 50th and 97th percentile, if it's even distribution I'd say he's about 60th). I asked whether this meant the dates were slightly out or anything and she said not to worry.
The notes suggest that taller, larger women might have bigger babies, but not sure how true this is. I'm tall and slim so will mine just be regular sized?

im 167cm how ever tall that is i was size 12ish, 16when i give birth she was 8lb 10oz 4days late.

We got a gorgeous piccy of his legs and the sonographer remarked that he had a lovely round little tummy!! (great chubby just Mum!)

Just dug out my 20 week scan notes, mine say:
BPD - 50.5mm
HC - 173mm
AC - 157mm
FL - 32mm
Thats the only measurments given, everything else just says normal!
