I had my 20.week scan today and everything is fine with my baby girl and she's growing perfectly. The sonographer told me that my placenta is quite low lying which isn't much of a concern to me because I had a low lying placenta with dd1 at 20 weeks, it was abutting o/s and by the time I was rescanned at 34 weeks it had moved..
However she said this time its a little worse as the tip of the placenta is covering the o/s and as she looked further to find the cord site to see if thaymt was low too, she said there was a contraction.. I asked her what this means but she didn't answer, she said there were no vessels in the wrong place and she just arranged for me to go back at 34 weeks again. Does anyone know what she meant by "there's a contraction"?
