Although if I spend £100 then I can effectively get the carousel for a fiver with the free voucher!!

that's very true

:happydance:

it might also be an idea to write to large companies
such as argos/asda etc and mention what you're doing
put in a cheeky word for the cause and they might
actually send you a gift voucher or something similar
as a kind gesture, no harm in mentioning it, same with
local selling sites/freecycle, local businesses might be
up for donating a few toys or someone might have
something hidden away that's never been opened

Sorry to be a pain! Ive had a look on the first page and cant find it. Does anyone have the newlook code please? X

I am going to try some blagging-the charity is well publicised on local radio and they raise money all year for local kids so think many businesses might have coughed up already. Was thinking that next year I might try some fund raising because actually I just love the bargain hunting part-that would be enough reward for me!!! Maybe if I do a bit of the bargain hunting for the charity I won't buy as many bargains for my lot
You ladies should donate your services!!! I do get people in the office coming to me asking for the best places to buy stuff which I think its why they have chosen me to get these toys-I never shut up about the bargain thread! I literally can't stand the thought of someone paying RRP for something!

Any bargains for wooden food? Sure I got some last year from a link on this thread but can't find the shop for love nor money

Not particularly cheap, but good quality on babipur and 10% off with code frosty that was on a wee card in my parcel this morning.

So many bargains, it's not going to be difficult to spend the money!! I'm going to go for the biggest savings and will post a pic of the stash!! Top 3 stores seem to be Agos, Amazon and ELC!

They collect from newborn right through to teenage, don't like to think about the younger age groups as it upsets me!! Just the fact that they might believe Father Christmas has forgotten them or worse that they have been naughty! Thanks for these suggestions got a few things in an argos basket already-everything at least half price!

I have £300 but my mum is one of the directors so I'm thinking about pulling on the heart strings as well as highlighting the bargains

I need some serious bargain help ladies,

The company I work for has kindly asked me to purchase a bunch of toys for our local christmas appeal, they distribute toys to needy kids in the UK. Therefore I want to get absolute bargains as every penny saved could go towards another gift!! Really don't want to spend any pennies on delivery and we want items that look pretty decent if the kids were to only get one present. Anything that really stands out??? I think the bat cave is a possibility as a £40 gift for £20 is ideal!

If you can get to Ikea, they have some lovely classic pressies. Perhaps not the most 'current' but an easel will never be unpopular! For £20 you could get an easel (£16), chalks (£1) and white board pens (£3) and I'd say that's a pretty good only present. Their train sets are excellent value too, for £21 you can get three boxes of track with trains, bridges, tunnel etc - my LO plays with hers all the time - and just the basic set alone (£8) is good. The hammering toy (£8) is nice for a younger child and the wagon of building blocks is lovely (£10). Soft bodied dolls are £8 and sets of clothes are £6.
