I had my scan monday and iv jut looked at the results for it my baby is measuring as follows:

Head Circumference (HC) 183.9mm
Abdominal Circumference (AC) 151.3mm
Femur Length (FL) 33.7mm

All of which are above the 50th Centile!!

My son was born at 36weeks weighing 5lb 12oz and a HC of 32cm.
Am I on course for a baby with a big head this time?!?!

Anybody care to share your measurements? X

Just had a look at my notes and these were my measurements:

HC: 183mm
AC: 160mm
FL: 34mm

Based on that, I wouldn't say your baby has a particularly large head. At my last scan at 28+5, my baby's HC was 286.5mm, which I was told was just above the 50th centile x

Just checked my Daughters measurements from her 20+6day scan:

FL: 34.88 mm
HC: 186.17 mm
AC: 153.18 mm

At 36+6 days:

FL: 69.8mm
HC: 333.0mm
AC: 302.0mm

EFW: 2634.0g

She was born at 38weeks 6lb 11oz.. Skinny and long :)

I had my scan at 20 weeks exactly and the measurements were:

HC: 170mm
FL: 31mm

One measurement was 19w 4d and one 19w 6d (not sure which way round!). Strangely my DD had EXACTLY the same measurements at her 20 weeks scan. She was born 6lb 12oz and 54cms long...long and skinny (which is strange as she's now a little shortie :))

Hiya,
Your baby's measurements look normal. I'm in the US and just looked at my notes from baby boy's 20 week anatomy scan and I guess they didn't measure femur length (FL) in my clinic, or if they did, it's not in the notes. But they did humerous legnth (HL) and biparietal diameter (BPD), so here are our measurements at 20 weeks:

HC: 178mm
AC: 153.1mm
HL: 30.6mm
BPD: 48.6mm

They estimated his weight at 13oz. based on the above measurements. Guess mine has a slightly big head too :haha:
I know as long as measurements fall above the 10th percentile and below the 90th, they aren't really concerned.

Our baby's femur length and abdominal circumference are over the 50th centile Nd her head circumference is waaaay below it!
