I'm expecting my 2nd in Jan and I'm so curious to know if my water will break again like it did with my 1st.
My water broke at 2am with my DS, it was exciting!

Yesterday at my final child birth class we were told that only 1 out of 10 women experience their water breaking.
Those numbers shocked me! And I felt extermely lucky to have experienced it :)

Now with my 2nd on the way I'm wondering if it will happeen again.
I tried googling it but it seems to be a mystery as to what causes a womans bag of waters to break.
I'm really really hoping I get to experience it again.
So I'm asking all mothers who have multiple cildren what their experiences were like?

I hope my waters break on there own this time! I want a dramatic water breaking scene in the middle of shopping like they do on the tele lol. Last time i got to 9.5cm and they hadnt gone so the midwife broke my waters, it hurt and i hope that doesnt happen this time! X

Lol me too!! I think it would be fun :) just to see how others would react/freak out

Aw I'm sorry you had an awful exprience with your waters last time  I hope you get your wish this time :)

Ditto! I'm desperate for mine to go in Tesco, or on the bus lmao. Mine were broken with DD though :(

Mine have been broken with both my first.....and honestly, I just wouldn't want mine to break anywhere......I'd be SO embarassed....LOL!!

I'm with Patch, I want Hollywood movie explosion in Tescos!

Neither time my water broke with my first 2. I hoping it does this time, he's my last and wouldn't mind that experience. :)

Mine went on their own both times, but was only trickles, to the point after popping to hosp to be checked, I went to Tesco to do some shopping!! Lol xx

I'm almost certain that my DS broke my water. For a few weeks before my water boroke it felt like he was scratching my cervix with his nails, it was painful!
Maybe that's the reason but idk for sure lol he did have some sharp nails when he was born :)

Mine broke in hospital after I've been induced...nothing major, although the second lot of water came about 3 minutes later?! Weird. With my secon, I had really bad contractions, was standing on my knees and hands on leather couch, and this time it was like the Victoria falls opened up ;-) x not sure what will happen this time though ;-)

Out of six births, my water only broke before labor with the first :flower:

My waters went 1st with both of my labours :) hoping for the same again this time so I know theres no going back :D x

My water broke on it's own before labor with ds2. With ds1 the Doctor broke it. Most labors the water breaks while in labor, and they don't need to be broken. It's actually good to try to keep them intact because it keeps a cushion around the baby.

Ive had four children and my water broke with 3 out of the 4 of them. First baby was a water break trickle, second baby my water broke at the hospital minutes before birth. 3rd and 4th babies my water popped at home . Having had two that popped, I would not want it to happen in public....would be very embarrassing!

My waters broke with all 3 of my babies and labour started within about 24 hours, I'm waiting to see if my waters break first with this little babe.. At least then I'll know labour is very soon lol x

My waters broke with my first, then were broken at hospital with my second.
I definitely preferred the second experience!

Waters had to be broke with William but then since it was induction thats why.
Alex waters went mid labour while having major contractions.

I'm on my fourth baby now and with my previous three my waters have never broke on their own. Kind of creeps me out actually, I've been 5-6 strolling around and the DRs were like yeah so were going to break that for you like I was some form of alien creature.

I'd like my waters to break in exactly the same way this time round as they did with DS - in the pool just before starting to push. I really don't want them to break randomly in public or even at home!
