2nd MC in a row after 4 healthy pregnancies

Hey all. Im having a hard time finding info about this. Maybe someone in here is like me. I'm about a week and a half out after my second D&C from a MMC at 13 weeks. Im 34 and last baby is nearly 2. Has anyone else had issues with MC all of the sudden? If so did you get test done? What did you do to carry a healthy pregnancy? TTIA

hey there, I'm so sorry for your loss. I am similar to you. I have had 2 previous healthy pregnancies. My kids are a little older now and in elementary school. I have always wanted 3 children. However, I have had 2 miscarriages now since trying. I don't know if I am much help to you about testing because I haven't done official testing yet with fertility doctor. I did get a whole panel of blood tests done with my OB doctor and the tests looked at genetic abnormalities in me and my husband, also my thyroid and several other fertility issues (such as blood clotting disorders). I can't remember everything the blood draws covered but it was probably about 10 different things. I did check out as clear, however I had the blood draws done when I was still miscarrying (my doctor made a bunch of mistakes). So I am not sure how legit the blood draws are since my body was still enduring the miscarriage. Anyhow, we have decided we want to go to a fertility specialist which I found in our area that looks like she is a really great doctor (lots of great reviews and successful pregnancies with her patients.) I have decided that I don't want to go in it blindly again and possibly have another miscarriage, it was just way to hard on my physically and emotionally. Of course I am hoping for easy fixes to my fertility problem (medication possibly-if needed). But, I really don't know what to expect at this point. I'm trying to prepare myself for the possibility that my dream of having one more baby may be over at this point. Anyhow, sorry I may not be much help with the details you are looking for. I am still in the midst of figuring out what may be causing my miscarriages that is if we can find anything at all.

Im sorry for your losses as well. It's not fair

I have my follow up today. I hope to hear from my doc about the tests they did from baby. I will also be having all those test you had. I tested 2 days after D&C and I had no HCG then. Baby had been gone a long while. So I should be ok with all that. If nothing is wrong Im sure we will try one more time. We have 4 babies and we are super happy. So we wouldn't feel the need to go as far as fertility treatments. ALthough I think I would always feel that hole. I just dont understand if its my age or what. But I need some kind of answers.

Good to hear from you again. I totally understand the hole in your heart feeling. I feel that emptiness too from my 2 miscarriages. That is wonderful that you have 4 children. Were you able to find out any answers from your doctor yet? I'm kind of confused too, wondering if it could be my age factor or not. I'm also hoping to get some answers soon. My hcg did drop again significantly to 60. So it is likely over soon. So I'm hoping to see the fertility doctor soon for some answers hopefully. Well, hope you are doing okay and recovering and getting the answers you need. ((hugs))

Hope you get answers soon,I know alot of the time people get tests done and nothing comes back,its just one of them things as the doctors put it,still it doesnt make the pain any less bareable and our minds going crazy with what could be wrong.

I had a loss in 2009 then 7months later concieved my daughter who is now 4 years old.
I had my implant out in april for baby 2. August was a chemical,got pregnant again weeks later and lost that little bean too but it was expected as my hcg never doubled but did rise and my scan was 2 weeks behind. We never got to see the heartbeat.

Im trying to think as positive as I can for the fact im 25years old and have already carried a baby..but still my mind wonders...I had blood tests done should be getting results in a few days.
I have been given higher dose of folic acid,baby apsrin and whatever else I need depending on blood results.
doctor keeps telling me iv already carried a baby after loss so the odds are high on my side.
as horrible and streasful as it is I think we can do is just prepare our bodies for pregnancy and pray for the best!
Iv heard soo many stories of people having 2 miscarriages after live births and then they go on to having a healthy baby. I sure so hope we will be one of them good luck & hope you get your rainbow baby x

Just wanted to check in and see how you are doing. Did you get any answers for your miscarriage? I went to the fertility doctor and found out I have a uterine septum, which was a big surprise, but it does answer a lot of the problems I had with my 2 successful pregnancies. I had a amniotic leak with my first and my second was breach and had to be turned. So both of those things are symptomatic of having a septum. I just wanted to share with you since I know you were seeking answers and wondered if you had your uterus examined thoroughly. After all the ultrasounds I have had from my successful pregnancies and then my 2 miscarriages none of the doctors ever told me I had a septum. So it was really amazing to have the fertility doc look at my uterus and tell me right away. I guess regular ob docs don't know what to look for if they haven't dealed with a lot of septum uteruses. For you to have 4 successful pregnancies, I know this is a less likely situation for you, but I just wanted to share with you just in case. Alrighty, I know this is an old post, so I'm not sure if you will read this or not, but hope all is well with you.

No real answers. Just that baby was a perfect boy and all my labs came back normal.
