Hello everyone!

I found out last week I'm pregnant again, I had my DD in 2013 and fell pregnant with her straight after an early loss with my first pregnancy. I found my pregnancy with my DD quite stressful because of the loss, and pretty much worried until the day she was safe in my arms.

This time round I'm a nervous wreck again already. I got my first faint BFPs around 8dpo, and just can't seem to feel positive about this pregnancy yet. I have tried to avoid obsessive testing, but need some kind of reassurance. I took FRERs at 12 and 15dpo which worried me as they didn't seem to be progressing, and with my DD they had got quite dark by 15dpo. I used a CB digi today at 18dpo, hoping to see 2-3 weeks but it only showed 1-2. So I then used a FRER which is finally showing a dark line, but I'm just confused now. I've made the mistake of checking out forum posts for similar experiences but they mostly seemed to end badly when people only got 1-2 weeks at 18dpo. I know the CB digis aren't always accurate, but they were spot on with DD to the day.

I've posted a couple of times in the first trimester forum but had forgotten how judgmental and rude they can seem to be in there, I don't understand why it's like that but thought I'd head back in here where the ladies are more understanding!

congrats on your pregnancy! are you having symptoms still? fx it's just a bit of a slow riser and you have a HnH 9 months x

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I know it's stressful as I've had 2 early losses also before my son and have tested like mad with him and with this pregnancy too. I wouldn't worry about the digital test as you could have been on the very cusp of getting your 2-3 but because it's a quantitative test it didn't quite register. If your hcg started at the lower end it wouldn't be quite 200 by the time you are 18dpo and that's what it needs to be to get to 2-3. I tested when I should have turned to 3+ (and was at the same stage with my ds) but it was still 2-3 and had a panick but I retested 2 days later and it went up. Different pregnancies have different levels of hcg so try not to worry. If you need to test (which I understand because I did) I would use cheapie line tests and try to always use fmu so it's a fair comparison day by day. Even then though I was worrying about the lines not progressing so that can make stress worse too. What I have tried to think this time is what will be will be. We can't change a mc if it's going to happen so try just to take each day as it comes and stay as positive as you can. Maybe book an early reassurance scan?

Thanks for your replies, just thought I should update that this pregnancy did unfortunately end in another loss.
