2nd round of 50mg clomid 1st round 1000mg metformin anyone else??

Hi I finished my 2nd round of clomid 4 days ago 50mg I am also on 1000mg of metformin my first month of combining the two did anyone else find the metformin helped with the side effects of clomid this round seemed to be less harsh than the first round thankfully lol was just wondering if it had Anything to do with the metformin? I am so hoping this works been 21 months trying to conceive it's so emotionally & physically draining any success stories to lift my spirits or anyone in the same boat as me this month? X

Hello! I am also currently on my 2nd round of 50mg. I have been on 2000mg of Metformin for almost a year. The first round of clomid I had crazy hot flashes and bloating but this time very minor symptoms in comparison. For me, the Metformin had no effect since I had been taking it for both rounds. The second was definitely a lot less symptomatic. I have heard a lot of people say the symptoms get less the more you take the same dose. Lots of baby dust your way!

So nice to have someone in the same boat as such �� ohhhh that is fantastic news about the clomid symptoms although I am hoping I don't have to worry about that and get out of taking them next month just desperate for my first ever bfp do you have any children? How long have you been ttc? X

It definitely is nice to have someone that can relate! No one in my personal life can relate and it can be frustrating for sure. I have been trying to conceive just over a year with the help with an RE and have never had anything even close to a BFP what about you? I do have 4 furbabies (2 dogs, 2 cats) which help! I have PCOS so I don't count anything before an RE (makes me feel a little better! haha)

Yes definitely can be frustrating unless your going through it people really don't seem to understand the distress sorry what is a re? Not even a fraction of a bfp ever I was a week late two months ago but that turns out to be to be my body playing tricks on me i have pcos also the bane of my life! Lol my progesterone level was at 9 then when to 24 but no ovulation so praying the mix with the metformin will do the trick are you having the 21 day blood test to see how the medication is reacting? X

Its okay! Reproductive Endocrinologist, much more helpful than a regular obgyn. They understand PCOS a lot better and can offer more testing, scans etc. 9 to 24 and no ovulation? That seems strange! Are you're cycles normally 28 days? Day 21's never tell anything for me because I usually ovulate around CD20 so I have the bloods drawn around CD27 (depending on actual O date). I am in the TWW now and feel very out but still a little hopeful. Usually my boobs are at least slightly sore by now, but nope- not even a little

Oh I see wish I had one of those my doctor is beyond frustrating. Yes see I got excited at the jump in progesterone level but the nurse said for a medicated cycle it should be around 50 I wouldn't even know when I ovulate as I don't recall ever having ovulated so just have to go with the 21 day one and hope for the best it's crazy how much trust you put into the doctors/hospital it's makes me feel apprehensive as I don't really know 100% what's going on in my body just praying clomid and metformin work. Oh the tww more like the 2 month wait lol oh it does seem to drag doesn't it you never know try to have hope I know it's hard when you feel out but fingers crossed ��
