Hello, I have been lurking on here for a few days - figured it was time to post. I am 37, my DH is 35 - TTC for 2 years. Have had a HyCosy (the dye in the tubes super fun), the Mister has done SA and both of us had all the blood tests. Diagnosed with unexplained infertility. We have our first appointment with a fertility clinic that specialises in mild/natural IVF tomorrow. It's the type where you only take hormones for a short window with the goal being quality, not quantity.

My question is if we start my treatment on the next cycle - we have a trip to New York City during the last half of what's likely to be the 2WW. Do you think this would be a problem? I would get back on the day the pregnancy scan would happen. I wouldn't be pulling a suitcase - I am traveling with my husband and he would handle everything. Only two days of the trip would be in NYC, the rest in Montauk at a resort. Maybe I just need to wait to talk to the doctor tomorrow but I keep wondering how soon we could start. If we can't do this first cycle - I doubt they will have me start the hormones while I am abroad. So that pushes us back to June. Basically, I am just overthinking everything.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

I don't see any problem with you being on vacation during the tww. It might actually be a good thing to keep your mind busy. However if you start spotting you probably wouldn't be able to get in for Scan or blood work until you returned so you would be in limbo not knowing. Other than that I think you'll be fine as long as you take it easy and follow the restrictions given. Good luck!!

Thanks Stacergirl. Appreciate your thoughts. I really hope it's not a problem. But I will find out today after I have my first appointment.
