For her first 2 days we had to wake her to feed her, today she had been wanting a feed every 2 hours of about 2oz but 3 of the times I've fed her today she has threw the whole bottle up.. It like gushed out and soaks me and her through.. If it carries on I will take her to doctors Monday but just wanted advice, is this normal? What can I do to stop it and what could be causing it x

She could either be drinking too much for her belly, or she could have reflux. I'd try feeding a less amount more often. Or give her a break half way through her bottle. I'm not sure about other babies but my LO wasn't taking that much at 3 days old. However after 10 weeks of my LO being sick constently did we finally get diagnosed as reflux, as hv's and docs kept saying he's too young to diagnose or babies are sick. So I'd Defo try get someone to listen to you if she carries on. Goodluck Hun

are you using too fast of a nipple? make sure you're using the slowest flow nipples possible.

Also I would burp after every ounce, keep baby slightly upright when feeding, no jostling/playing after feeds and keep head elevated when laying down.

She could have reflux or gastroenteritis, or like the others have said the teat might be a bit too big etc. Whatever might be the issue though, I'd just like to say please don't leave going to or calling the doctors till Monday if your LO is consistently throwing up most of her feeds today.

Little ones get dehydrated very easily and your LO is very very young; it might be best for a doc to take a look at her to make sure she's comfortable and hydrated.... My little one has CMPA and at two months was dehydrated after being sick just 3-4 times in a day.....

Hope your LO feels better very soon :)

My son threw up constantly until he was weaned at 6 months. Even now if he has a coughing fit he will vomit. No one knew what was wrong, he changed his milk to C&G Comfort milk as this was a thicker formula. This helped loads. I remember I always had sick in my hair in those early days. X

Could be so many things! Milk allergy, reflux, drinking too much... As the girls say I would slow right down, just feed an oz at a time and then burp or do half/third bottle and have a break and see if that helps. Thicker formula/slower tears may be useful too. If she is still throwing up a smaller amount then it sounds more like allergy/reflux. As Pp said watch carefully for dehydration as it can happen super fast in tiny babies so Don't hesitate to take her in if you are worried. Good luck xxx

This could be lots of things. She could have a bit of wind; do you stop and burp throughout the feed? It may be reflux which can usually be sorted with medication (my LO has it and is on infant gaviscon, I think I would have gone insane without it) or she could just be wanting to comfort suck rather than actually eat - have you tried her with a dummy?

Good luck!

Im also having this problem little man will not keep feeds down today
At all his nappies are all wet so know hes hydrated still
