Hi,
My section is scheduled on Tue, and I am freaking out! My dh is tired of trying to calm me down, I feel so scared and afraid of this. I have to be at the hospital at 12.30  and I am not supposed to eat or drink ANYTHING after midnight ! Meaning more than 12 hours without food and water! Just great :nope:

Good luck...Try to focus on being excited more than scared. I haven't had a section or even a baby yet but I have a section for my LO scheduled on Thursday. Yeah, I get a little freaked out when I think about it in depth but they do CSections ALL the time. You will be in good hands and it helps to read stories about successful csections. It is good you have one scheduled as I hear they are FAR better than emergency. The only things I am really worried about are the epidural (not the pain of one but a complication) and how breastfeeding will go. It is a really quick procedure and you will probably be so distracted with your baby you won't even bother. Most scheduled c section stories I have heard are extremely positive. Let me know how it goes!

Good luck! I understand how you feel. I have my 4th c-section scheduled in 5 weeks and 5 days, feel very nervous as well. I never felt that nervous with my other ones, its only because it is my fourth section which i was advised to not have. Best of luck, will be really thinking of you xxx

My first child was a vaginal delivery after I was induced due time high blood pressure. I had an epidural and no complications after. But it worked on only one side of my body
Spinals are deeper and stronger than epi but they can also use an epi for an emcs.
I can say that I was totally OK after my epi, no back prob nothing. A little discomfort for few days when I was pressing on the site, that's all. Wasn't painful to have it placed, but tickles and had the feeling I got electrocuted thru my spine :winkwink:

Now the idea of being physically impaired after c-sect , bothers me the most....keeps my awake at night and I get nightmares as I can't take care of my kids or go down the stairs/bed/move properly.
I also read positive stories and I am praying to have a quick recovery. But its hard to keep positive thoughts as I am a health care professional and I've seen the dark side too...:nope:
