Hi everyone,
I'm actually posting here for my friend since she's not a part of this forum, and I have a question I'm wondering if any of you can help me with. Not sure if this is in the correct forum.

My friend has been pregnant 3 times, and every time she miscarried between 7 and 9 weeks along. Her doctors keep blowing her off, saying it's "more common than you think," but I think it has been far too consistent to ignore the pattern. The only recommendation they had for at the ER last Friday when her third miscarriage started was to test for chromosomal abnormalities. I mean really? She's had 3 consecutive abnormal babies? I know it's not impossible, so she went ahead with the test, but she's back to trying right away so I want to brain storm some other options for her to talk to her doctor about before she gets pregnant again and they do nothing, again.

My two ideas from the vast research I did when I was TTC more than 2 years ago are low progesterone and a too-short luteal phase. The only other piece of information I have that may or may not be relevant is that she tests positive early, like super early. Like a blaring pink line when she thinks she should only be 8DPO (according to cycle length, she's been unsuccessful trying to keep up with taking her BBT). Any input is helpful, so what do you think?

Thanks!

I'm no expert but maybe she needs to be tested for blood clotting disorders i think that time frame is related to those issues! Also I think if it was P it would most likely happen earlier!! HTH

I can only speak of my experience I miscarried threebtime and then was sent to a specialist that work with recurrent miscarriages he tested me and my husband for a list of chromosomal issues. Then I got pregnant before they could run all the test on my uterus but he was able to monitor from week three up until week 12 turns out my body wasn't producing enough progesterone so I needed medication. then had severe preeclampciahad to be delivered at 31 weeks after a week of every medication they could give me. After thatthey waited the 6 weeks and ran all the different test on my uterus and my doctor found out that I have a auto immune issue that causes my body to reject my babies. I an now currently TTC I have to take nupogeyn injections from week 3 to 9 weeks and start testing my progesterone levels at week 5 to make sure I can carry to term this time. She needs a new doctor one who will listen after three miscarriages she would be seeing a specialist who can try to help. Its true miscarriages are common but usually people miscarry early and are able to carry next time around but when its constant them they need to see why.

Here in nz if you miscarry three times in a row they send you for testing. I've miscarried twice in a row since having dd and once for certain before dd and I'm lucky enough to have an understanding doctor.
it definitely could be chromosomal but she should be getting other tests too. I had bloods taken for seven yests including blood clotting disorder, thyroid and lupus. After my recent d&c they are testing for chlamydia and (ugggg I need to Google the correct name but I'm on my phone and if I do I lose what I've typed so far)....bacterial vaginitis (something like thar). Then there's a heap of other stuff the gynecologist can look at too.
I hope this helps.
