I'm officially 31 and 3 days and since yesterday bubs seems much quieter.. I still feel wiggles and such but not nearly as frequent. Usually at bedtime he goes insane and has insane periods throughout he day, but today I have only felt a few squirms or wiggles.... this is stressing me out. What are your babies doing at this stage? I'm fairly big in my belly and a petite person, is it possible he is just running out of room.

At 31 weeks there is still a bit of room and you should still be able to feel movement. Sometimes baba can be facing a different direction causing you to not feel movement as much. If it has lessened you should call your doctor. It's better to be safe that way and have peace of mind.

I'm still feeling it, just not as often today it seems. For example, he is wiggling right now, but no real belly "waves" or big kicks or pokes, just little ripples or little subtle movements. I still feel and see my belly move but its just not as intense today. Think I will call just for reassurance.

It sounds normal, if you can still feel it that's good news. Baba could be going thru a growth spurt too. You just never know. Good luck!

I was like that a couple of weeks a go so went and got checked out and was told it was because I was stressed. They said to me that babies react to your feelings so for example if you feel poorly they will be quieter etc and because I was stressing out it caused baby to be a bit quieter. Once I got him checked out and saw he was fine I relaxed a whole lot and he became very active again. Maybe it could be the same for you. Your baby is getting a bit more cramped now but I was told they should still follow the same pattern. If i was you I would get checked out just to be on the safe side and put your mind at rest you will feel so much better afterwards. I'm sure baby is fine though. Hope your ok and not stressing too much xx

At 29 or 30 weeks I actually had this happen to me and also had it happen with my first at 32 weeks. I went hours without feeling him at all. I went and got monitored and sure enough he was moving up a storm. I actually realized that I can see him through my stomach, moving, but I can't feel it. I was laying down and kept seeing these huge movements, but never felt any of them. Lay on your left side, drink something sweet, and relax. I also suggest looking at your stomach, laying down, to see if you can see the baby moving. If you don't feel anything or less than 10 kicks in an hour or two then call your doctor. Sometimes they just have their lazy days :)

This happened to me at around 29 or 30 weeks. My little girl is normally very active but was super quiet for two days. Scared me so much! I called for reassurance and now she's back to her old self, moving up a storm all day everyday. I wouldn't worry since you can still feel bubs moving but if you want go ahead and call for reassurance. Never hurts to be safe.(:

I had this through the night - movement felt quieter yesterday, and then I didn't feel anything at all when I woke several times in the night. Seems more normal this morning, though, especially after a big glass of cold water so I'm not going to worry just yet. :flower:

Mine does this to worry me :D. Every few days or so he has a quiet day and then goes back to being really active. I suspect he just turns to face my back :) xxx

I get that and have done for the last few weeks. That said, when he does move he goes mental and moves around like crazy but I can go quite a while feeling nothing so in a way Im getting more movement so far as the kind of movement but then in another way im going through quiet spells too. Wish baby would stop worrying us!

Mine has quieter days--she is still changing positions alot and I think in certain positions I don't notice the movements as much. When she does this I lie down and do a kick count, and I find that I still get to 10 kicks pretty quickly. I keep my hand on my belly to help feel some of the smaller ones.

call your midwife or doctor just to be sure hun x

I posted earlier about having had a quiet day and night - today baby's back to normal office behaviour, kicking my ribs and shifting around since I sat down at my desk. :flower:

Well what a little bugger...while on the phone with the hospital he started going crazy and didn't stop all evening, night or morning... Rolls, twists, kicks, hiccups...you name it. I'm think it was the different position reason as it seemed like his back was across my belly...one long firm surface pushing out, so his movements must have been inward... It worries me though, he better not do that again!!! Thanks so much ladies.

Glad to hear all was OK. Don't you love when they do that to you? lol

My daughter's movements changed. More.. waves and occasional kicks as opposed to full of football try outs.
If you are concerned, contact your MW. But, babies movements do change throughout a pregnancy.
