36+5 and 1/5 engaged

Went to MW today and was told I am 1/5 engaged so looks like buba will be a while before making an appearance unless this dramatically changes quickly.

Just wondered how engaged others were at around 37 weeks....

i am 32 weeks and been to mw today and baby 3/5th engaged already!! with my daughter who was 4 weeks early she didnt engage until labour, so dont worry could still be any time

i found out today that my little one is now 1/5 engaged, he was free as a bird at my last appointment! he's been 1/5 before but seems to just bob in and out. naughty babies x

I'm assuming 5/5 means nowhere near engaged? Anyone know? Mw wrote that on my notes today - but I also measured 4 wks behind so have 2 wks to catch up else I've gotta go hospital for growth scan x

5/5 engaged means fully engaged. 5/5 palpable means free. ask which method she is measuring in! i could imagine you're fully engaged which could explain why you're measuring small? ask at your next appointment. x

Yeah, my notes said 4/5 palpable and I converted this to 1/5 engaged (with thanks to ttc_lolly as I had no idea what it meant ).

Just looked at my notes and it says 'free'.....looks like we've got a while to wait yet lol. She needs to gain a few lbs so gravity can give her a helping hand!

I have been 1/5 engaged since 34 weeks, and found out today at my 38 week appointment shes still only 1/5 engaged, slightly depressing to say the least but heyho x

My maternity doctor told me that it doesnt matter if your 1/5 or 4/5 engaged baby comes when baby comes.
